That Packard Hawk is a show winner! Considering the rarity just fabulous job restoring it. I am about where you started. Mine is a '57 GH in Azure blue metallic, which is the hotrod metallic blue, not the lighter colors. Working on components now, engine, supercharger rebuilt. It likely will take a couple years (ho ho) to finish. I did an XKE Jaguar when I was younger but it took every night and weekend for over a year! Also working on (almost finished) 1957 1/2ton 4x4 factory Chevrolet in Sandstone Beige.

40+ years ago, I lived next door to a man Named Herb (I believe the name is correct) in Port Angeles, WA. Herb collected and restored classic vehicles, and one of his vehicles was a 1917 Templar. Additionally, he had restored and owned a Stutz Limo that was built for the 1932 Chicago Worlds Fair. I think Herb had a nephew living in Iowa whom may have acquired the car collection some time in the 1980s? Are you aware of this specific vehicle?

Typical car salesmen calling a bronco a car or truck. It's simply know as an early bronco if you own one. Ask anyone who has one and the first thing they say if someone asks is " its an early bronco" not a bronco, truck, bronco ll. Its an early bronco.

The notion that Packard bought Studebaker and "they came up with the Hawk together" is just laughable. If you don't see the anscestor of the Hawk in the 1953 Studebaker Starliner you're blind, and the fact that it was Studebaker that bought Packard, not the other way around, is irrefutable.

You must be fucking crazy to pay 200.000 $ for a bronco. You can find a very fucking awesome bronco for a lot less, even in tv shows like Counting Cars, Gas Monkey or what ever they do amazing things with broncos for a lot less money. 200 k are u fucking serious?????
