One Punch Knockout
Добавлен 9 июн 2023
Boxing content that I can make at your request. The boxers that I train work hard to improve technique and overall confidence. I have over 20 years of boxing experience. I have boxed both amateur and professionally. I have fought on 2 TV shows in Dallas Texas, HBO, East Coast Amateur Champion, State Champion, Light Weight US Army Master Trainer Champion and Military Combative Instructor.
Fighting The Counterpuncher
Don’t set your feet with a counterpuncher. They want to catch and counter. Punch on the fly making them move. Don’t be stable. Hit and move at the same time. Move away from the rear hand. Don’t forget to cut angles when your opponent shells up. To get a good angle you need to distract and blind them with your strikes.

Fighting The Outside Opponent

Line up the hand with the direction of movement of your opponent. Make sure to throw the rear hand when they move into that direction. Straight punches work best in this scenario. Use hooks to trap the opponent in a corner.
Fighting A Shorter Opponent

Do not engage at close range. Keep opponent at long range. Consistently throw the jab. When opponent is inactive step to medium range, throw combo, and then step back out to long range. When exiting out always leave the combo with a jab for safe measures so that your opponent cannot return. Most of the time your opponent will be so hesitant to return in which they will be hit by your jab. At th...
Leaning to throw combos in the pocket at medium range

As the taller fighter you should utilize the jab. When it is safe and clear you can step to medium range and throw a combination. Once the combo is complete exit with the jab until you are back to long range. If the fighter steps to short range don’t engage. When it is safe utilize the clinch and wait for the referee to separate getting you back to long range.

Short fighter inside

Taller fighter has to keep the shorter fighter out by establishing the jab and moving. The shorter fighter wants to be inside. As the taller fighter it is important to establish the jab and throw the combos from medium range when it is safe to do so. If the shorter fighter gets inside null the attack by utilizing the clinch. It is frustrating for a taller fighter but important to stop the attac...

great work, we should collab
Absolutely let me know
Red practice on head movement and way better jabs , black work on controlling distance and head and feet work the most
I am his trainer the one with the red head gear. If I gave him 100% he would never learn. It’s not a beat down session. As a good trainer I try my best to water my self down to the amateur level to give him a good understanding of a fighter with limited fights. Keep in mind that he has never fought. I myself have had numerous amateur and pro fights. It would not be a learning experience for anyone to just be in win mode. How do you ever learn if you don’t try the things in a spar you normally wouldn’t try in a fight, just saying. Overall good assessment however that was not the training intent. I purposely was not moving my head . For the guy in black you are absolutely correct and we continue to work on those things.
amazing ✌ ✌
Thank you
Oh, that's a good video! Learning and practicing the many boxing combinations is a key element in the training of any boxer. Each combination is a sequence of punches that can be used in different situations in the ring. Knowing a variety of combinations allows a boxer to be unpredictable to his opponent, making it more difficult to recognize intentions and react to punches. It also develops the athlete's coordination, reaction and tactical thinking, allowing him to adapt to different styles of opponents and increasing his chances of winning. The practical manual “400 Boxing Combinations” is a valuable resource for boxers of all levels, as it provides a wide range of combinations and techniques. By working with this manual, the athlete is able to systematically study and practice techniques, choosing the most effective and appropriate combinations for him. In addition, the structured approach offered by the manual helps the boxer to organize his training and track his progress. This keeps you motivated and engaged in the training process, and improves your overall understanding of boxing as a tactic and strategy.
👍💪
Basically, the main combo is 323. In the ring, the 1st jab is to get in range and the last jab is more like pushing away to disengage :D
Absolutely correct. I am trying to teach my fighter to jab in and jab out. Good eye on the technique.
I'm fairly new to boxing and memorizing the numbers and punches sequences is a hustle for me😂
Just remember that you every punch puts you back on balance and are aligned in an order. 1- jab 2 - right cross or straight right 3- left hook 4- right hook 5- left uppercut 6- right uppercut 7- liver punch 8- overhand right Kickboxing uses 7- switch kick 8- round house
@@OnePunchKnockout7in kickboxing or Muay Thai, They will just say switch kick or body kick. I don’t really hear # for kickboxing/Muay Thai
@Juann-d5j your right I taught in the military. I do say switch or rear. Anyhow that is the number count just for reference.
Hella sharp and clean jabs right there keep it up brother
Much appreciated
Try the pendulum
Unfortunately I have tried that method with him. He does not possess the rhythm yet for in and out approach. Yes it would be amazing if he could do this method and be more efficient defensively. To alter around it as he exits out I have him jab out in the event his opponent returns a counter. That is a good assessment of my fighter and it is much appreciated.
Great work! Tall lad with good reach, could easily be a great boxer if the work continues to be put in! Best of luck to you both
Thank you I work with him weekly and he has came so far.
Yessir!! Them good ol fundamentals are always key 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I hope this young bull takes advantage of his training cuz I have a feeling that he’s gonna have many opportunities for him in this sport ✊🏽✊🏽💯💯💯💯
He is a natural orthodox fighter. We was working on southpaw for a month so that he understands how they think and move. Much appreciated for the nice comment.
Hey not bad. Get that jab working. Snap it. Concentrate on hips turning and your lats and shoulders driving the strength. Here is a 20 minute workout. 10 rounds. Set the timer 2 minutes 30 second rest. Make sure you have a sweat going first. Now hit the bag non stop during those two minutes. Don’t need to be bobbing and weaving. Move around the bag throwing combos and jabs but never stop. Mix it up hard punches soft punches and speed. Get your breathing in rhythm. Never never stop during the round.
Good work!!
Thank you
Good stuff. Keep the momentum going.
Thank you
parry with ur backhand
He’s does parry but often forgets to use that tool. You can parry with either hand . I always advise same side parrying hand as the striking hand. He is working on it and thanks for the reminder.
Keep working. Keep getting better. Wish I would’ve started that young.
Damn, pretty hard hits for a regular sparring session?
Nice Job guys! 😊
Thank you he will be sparring again soon at the gym.
Glad you liked it!! He will be sparring again soon.
I've trained alot of good Boxers, had the privilege of going to Grand Rapids Michigan to help get the G.G. Natuonals in my town, been an interesting couple of decades.
Good work dad ❤
I am a dad but not his dad, thanks though.
Good stuff ❤
Much appreciated
wonderful 👍 👍
Thank you
Good pad work Dad, all the best 👍
He’s not my son but thank you for the nice gesture
i like this nice work guys
Much appreciated

Thank you

That jab of his is lazy! As soon as he throws its it's coming straight down...1st thing I would fix.
You are right he does have a lazy jab. However we was not in a full out spar and I was letting him work
all i keep seeing is his hand staying down after throwing a right i guess? i'm not sure what that punch is. left side of his head/face looks tasty tho
This was about 10 years ago or more when I made this vid before I went pro.Back then I was working a triple G short overhand right to the body. This punch does work and yes my hand was really low. I wasn’t worried back then as none of my amateur opponents gave me much to worry about when I was on the inside limiting there range of punch.
Needs to turn that wrist over a bit more on his straight punches. Make him step back a bit too. Hes got the reach, make sure he uses it! Other than that looks good and everything is tight. Keeping that guard up firm on pucnhes which is great.

Great job everyday counts and its good to see someone stick with something that's as productive as boxing.
Go to a boxing gym trust me bro
Coaches have so much knowlege to pass down to you
Bro the videos are of my student. I have boxed for over 20 years and boxes as a professional. I have fought on HBO.
Bro look stiff as fuck. He look like me if I had to fight mike tyson in his prime.
Keep it up bro, you’ll get better everyday!!!!
This 15 year old is putting in the work
I thought this was canelo begginings
Stop pulling with your arms. Keep your core right and pull not with your arms but with your core
This kid is 15 and it was the first time he has ever done this before. Pretty good for the first time if you ask me.
Niceeeeee
Bro I’m jus amazed that people can have such sound form and solid rhythm on the bag with little to no wasted movement and the moment they post it everyone in the comments becomes a boxing coach with 40 years experience 🤦🏽♂️😂 I would kill jus to see what some of these people actually look like behind their screens, keep up the good work brother 🤝🏽
Much appreciated. I have some scheduled videos posting and some I will be making.
Tamam yes
When is you next fight? You should post it with some commentary analyzing it. That would be some fun content. Like what you capitalized on, traps you were trying to set. What you fell for etc…keep the good content coming man
I absolutely will put some of my pro fights on my channel with commendation breaking everything down. I will do the same with my amateur fights. Thanks for the tip
@@OnePunchKnockout7 of course. Been watching your videos, keep it up man.
Good shit sir. Looks like the height advantage was a lil challenge but you kept him honest
Yeah he out weighed me by 20 pounds and was def tall lol.

Matt Sera still got it! 😂
Hilarious and I have been told that in the past.
Who cares about technique? I hit the bag to get a good workout, even though I’ve never boxed a day in my life. I know that I will never be the next Canelo Alvarez. Keep posting your videos.
Yea more videos will be coming soon.
Yes
Drops his right. Sucker for a check left hook. And will eat jabs all day.
I will update my training videos to new content. That was from 2009. I have went an entire pro fight and only been hit maybe a handful of times. My head movement and defense is superb now. My main focus is helping others as I don’t compete anymore. I am training a fighter who is autistic and he is amazing. This kid can now fight 5 styles and 5 defenses. More to follow. Thank you for watching and thank you for critiquing my boxing from 2009 in my ammy days.
Doesn't turn his body into the hooks. Needs to relax. Maybe film 20 minutes and edit in a good bit next time.
That was all body attacks. Im not sure if you have ever competed or not but going to the body you cant fully turn over your punches because you will compromise your defense. When I throw to the body I try to hurry and get back to my defense. Also keep in mind I made this video years ago and my punches are a lot harder, crisper, and better movement.
Do you box?
@@harrisonslinger I haven't boxed in over 20 years and nearly 30 since I boxed in the amateurs. I been hitting the bag lately. Since getting fat. What do you think? Might see what I mean about turning into the hooks? ruclips.net/video/_yuuycQeVus/видео.html
@Nonegiven14582 yes I have competed amateur and professionally. I also taught Combatives in the military with the Marines and Army.
@@OnePunchKnockout7 You are okay. There just isn't any snap in the punches. I am 50 and would say I'm better. And I haven't been in a licensed boxing club for over 20 years. Shape of you as well. You just aren't at your natural weight? I couldn't box now at the weight I am. Might win a few charity events, but what is the point in that. I remember turning up at my old gym at 154lbs and my coach told me I was fat and I went home and cried. Didn't go back to a boxing gym for 3 years. Till I was in shape.
💪🏻
Sometimes you have to be humble with a defeat. This is what makes you great. You can’t win them all but learn from your mistakes and go back to the drawing board. After this loss I won state, studied boxing for a few years later until I went pro. In this video I did not have enough knowledge and experience. Stay persistent and focus on the things you are not great at. I was so focused on my power I did not execute game plan and come In with head movement and the jab. Learn from my mistakes. Everything starts with the jab. #Beunpredictable
where is this?
When I was in the military
Nice work guys. Sometimes I spar in my back yard and it seems much harder and more tiring without a ring because you can't really corner your opponent.
Only problem with that for competitive Boxing you would need to get the feel of canvas with boxing or wrestling shoes. Sometimes there are logos that can be slippery. I would say for back yard sparring to walk the area, find the bad spots, look for where the sun is shinning in your opponents eyes and put them in that position. Use your foot work by circling away from there dominant hand until they are exactly where you want them to be. Don’t chase them by rushing in. Stalk them moving left and right cutting off there limitations to escape your trap. Move forward with straight punches. If they try to escape throw a hook to the side they are trying to exit out. Try it out and let me know how it works the next time you spar.
@@OnePunchKnockout7 it’s funny you mentioned slipping. I had my first light mma sparring session this week. I kept using my front kick to keep distance. But my foot would get sweat on it from his shirt and when I would bring my foot back to plant I would slip right after the kick. It’s crazy the small little details of fighting you have no clue about until you do it.
@@keltonsanders try turning your foot out slightly and not north/south. If you are using your lead foot as a teep or push kick to keep distance for example if it is your left foot point your big toe to 11 o’clock. I taught this in the military. I would aim for the upper thigh for more control. Don’t forget to chop the legs in and outside to mix up your attack.
@@OnePunchKnockout7 thank you. Yeah this week I’ve really been working on ending combinations with some type of kick.
Low kicks are always a safe bet. Anything above the waist has room for a counter. Low leg kicks, calve cuts, and teeps are what I taught in the military for a combat scenario. This also relays into competition as well. Hope this was helpful.
