Crank Jab & Overhand Right

Elbow up and thumb down. With crank punches your arm does not full extend.
Boxing Crank Jab

Elbow up and shoulder touches the face. Elbow is not locked out for this jab as it is generating power through the transition of the hips.
Boxers Speed Jab
Thumb is down on contact. When the leather glove hits and the thumb is turned down it grabs the skin and create a tear. Once the cut has been established you will then throw hard punches trying to create a larger cut.

very good
Much appreciated the comment
I’m 20 years old and would outbox you and your little boyfriend easy. Training a kid when you have all losses on your record is the blind leading the blind 😂😂😂
Anytime you think you can outbox me come see me. A man vs a boy would be a big mistake for you. He is a 16 year old teenager and would mop the canvas with your face. Bro troll someone else on your keyboard warrior trials.
@ drop a time and place buddy real easy to seem tough. But I doubt you would have the same energy in person
I’m in South Carolina and I don’t need a gym we can take it to the parking lot or grass no problem. I want you to know for legal purposes I was a military combative master trainer and this is my verbal warning to you
@ Ooooh I’m definitely scared what are you gonna get your army cop friends involved handle your business like a man. I’m in Richmond Virginia to be exact. And for legal reasons I’ve been boxing for 5 years you have been warned
Listen and hear me. I have been In 6 military wars. I have fought on two tv shows and on HBO. Come see me in Columbia South Carolina and I will respectfully prove to you the difference from a boy to a man and from an amateur boxer that I assume you are to a true experienced professional. Let me know when you are coming to my home town and I will clear my schedule and put it on RUclips live. If you are just gonna go back and forth here you can troll someone else I don’t talk this much. Next message you should send is date and time you will be in Columbia SC. I will have get a gym scheduled for that day. No rounds no time just whenever someone says they quit is my dawg house rules for bullies.
I won't clown on y'all, at least y'all are actually sparring. Most won't even put gloves on. Thumbs up for that.
I don’t know many trainers who will spar with. I believe that you should be able to do what you teach as a visual for learning.
Really? Most don’t even soar lightly like in this? Sparring is so much fun. Done it in Muay Thai recently and it’s great
@robertjamesonmusic yeah well it depends on who you are talking about. Some people need to spar hard, others don't.
Here to suport. Nice job brother! 👊
Thank you much appreciated
twist your arm during the punch like a screw. Extend your arms fully during the punch. Use his height, stay of your heels, bend your knees, suck in your stomach, step into punches do not twist or fall into them. Get a lesson from a boxer.
Weirdly my fighter cannot lock his elbows out. He has something that prevents him from doing this. Thumb down punches are used to start a cut and palms flat with the walking surface rip the cut. Thumb down is not always used in every scenario but good eye. He does get flat footed from time to time and I am about to put thumb tacks in the back of his shoes like I had to do when I started boxing. He does slightly bend his knees but just not in a jefferies crouch as that would be for the smaller fighter. I don’t have him step into his punches because that is giving his reach away. I am a coach with over 20 years of professional experience. This channel is for positive motivation and good constructive feedback.
@@OnePunchKnockout7 The reason he is not extending his elbows is because you need to show him how to walk. Let him follow you in a square and teach him to throw only "jab, cross" until his body adjusts. Do what you want. I went though Soviet olympic boxing system from age 13 to 25, in USA, you have people who know boxing but not an organized school. Do what you want but this young men is not a fighter.
@@joeschmo6126 no you are not understanding what I am saying. He physically and medically cannot extend his arms due to a disability.
@@OnePunchKnockout7 I see, all the best to him and you. Happy Thanksgiving.
@@joeschmo6126 happy Thanksgiving
hes moving his legs without his hips hes not getting any power from those punches . and when hes going forward hes sliding instead of stepping , hes doing the exact same going back maybe lay of the pads for a lil and work on formation / footwork . and when hes doing uppercuts drop the shoulder and legs and come back up using the waist and legs .
You are suppose to drag a foot in combat sports to keep a foot grounded so that you don’t fall or get knocked down. You step and drag as a beginner. When you throw an uppercut the force is generated by your legs rather than arm punches. This is how you transfer weight. I’m not sure what you are seeing but I appreciate the comments.
@@OnePunchKnockout7 turn the hips to move in unison with the uppercut
@@OnePunchKnockout7 as seen in this video at the second last punch (body uppercut) in the second camera switch
@@OnePunchKnockout7 use mikes technique on that body hook and implement it to a normal uppercut ruclips.net/user/shortsHBGpJ9tlBwk
@@OnePunchKnockout7 might be easier for him to bend his legs slightly and generate power by turning the hip
Thats Makunouchi Ippo!
Thank you well said .
he needs to use his hips move and be less stiff he looks stiff try loosen up a lil.
I keep telling him that good eye.
Very nice video! Definately highlights the importance of working the body, and showcases the situations to do it in.
Thanks much appreciated. He is working extra hard to get ready for his first fight
i like to see he starts his jabs from the feet turning his knee hips and shoulder into his jabs for stiff strong jabs its a good way to work on the jab
Thank you I try to get his full reach with his punches.
Youre a coach?
Yes
I have been involved in coaching after my Pro career since 2016.
How long you been coaching bro
I was actively fighting until 2016 and then I started coaching
Good work
Thank you he is working hard to increase his skills
@OnePunchKnockout7 I be training my son's too. It shows them discipline.
Absolutely true statement. I taught in the military as a combative instructor. Wrestling is a great sport for discipline and the no quit attitude.
Decent technique for sure !!
Thank you he is working hard on technique
The Kids coming along nicely !!
Thank you he is working hard on technique
Taller guy has so great balance and stance !
Thank you I have works with him a lot to build his stance
great ✌ ✌
Thank you for the comment
I could definitely outbox this Smurf and his son easy
Chuckles
Why so angry?!
good good luck for you
great work, we should collab
Absolutely let me know
Red practice on head movement and way better jabs , black work on controlling distance and head and feet work the most
I am his trainer the one with the red head gear. If I gave him 100% he would never learn. It’s not a beat down session. As a good trainer I try my best to water my self down to the amateur level to give him a good understanding of a fighter with limited fights. Keep in mind that he has never fought. I myself have had numerous amateur and pro fights. It would not be a learning experience for anyone to just be in win mode. How do you ever learn if you don’t try the things in a spar you normally wouldn’t try in a fight, just saying. Overall good assessment however that was not the training intent. I purposely was not moving my head . For the guy in black you are absolutely correct and we continue to work on those things.
amazing ✌ ✌
Thank you
Oh, that's a good video! Learning and practicing the many boxing combinations is a key element in the training of any boxer. Each combination is a sequence of punches that can be used in different situations in the ring. Knowing a variety of combinations allows a boxer to be unpredictable to his opponent, making it more difficult to recognize intentions and react to punches. It also develops the athlete's coordination, reaction and tactical thinking, allowing him to adapt to different styles of opponents and increasing his chances of winning. The practical manual “400 Boxing Combinations” is a valuable resource for boxers of all levels, as it provides a wide range of combinations and techniques. By working with this manual, the athlete is able to systematically study and practice techniques, choosing the most effective and appropriate combinations for him. In addition, the structured approach offered by the manual helps the boxer to organize his training and track his progress. This keeps you motivated and engaged in the training process, and improves your overall understanding of boxing as a tactic and strategy.
👍💪
Basically, the main combo is 323. In the ring, the 1st jab is to get in range and the last jab is more like pushing away to disengage :D
Absolutely correct. I am trying to teach my fighter to jab in and jab out. Good eye on the technique.
Hella sharp and clean jabs right there keep it up brother
Much appreciated
Try the pendulum
Unfortunately I have tried that method with him. He does not possess the rhythm yet for in and out approach. Yes it would be amazing if he could do this method and be more efficient defensively. To alter around it as he exits out I have him jab out in the event his opponent returns a counter. That is a good assessment of my fighter and it is much appreciated.
Great work! Tall lad with good reach, could easily be a great boxer if the work continues to be put in! Best of luck to you both
Thank you I work with him weekly and he has came so far.
Yessir!! Them good ol fundamentals are always key 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I hope this young bull takes advantage of his training cuz I have a feeling that he’s gonna have many opportunities for him in this sport ✊🏽✊🏽💯💯💯💯
He is a natural orthodox fighter. We was working on southpaw for a month so that he understands how they think and move. Much appreciated for the nice comment.
Hey not bad. Get that jab working. Snap it. Concentrate on hips turning and your lats and shoulders driving the strength. Here is a 20 minute workout. 10 rounds. Set the timer 2 minutes 30 second rest. Make sure you have a sweat going first. Now hit the bag non stop during those two minutes. Don’t need to be bobbing and weaving. Move around the bag throwing combos and jabs but never stop. Mix it up hard punches soft punches and speed. Get your breathing in rhythm. Never never stop during the round.
Good work!!
Thank you
Good stuff. Keep the momentum going.
Thank you
parry with ur backhand
He’s does parry but often forgets to use that tool. You can parry with either hand . I always advise same side parrying hand as the striking hand. He is working on it and thanks for the reminder.
Keep working. Keep getting better. Wish I would’ve started that young.
Damn, pretty hard hits for a regular sparring session?
Nice Job guys! 😊
Thank you he will be sparring again soon at the gym.
Glad you liked it!! He will be sparring again soon.
I've trained alot of good Boxers, had the privilege of going to Grand Rapids Michigan to help get the G.G. Natuonals in my town, been an interesting couple of decades.
Good work dad ❤
I am a dad but not his dad, thanks though.
Good stuff ❤
Much appreciated

Thank you
Good pad work Dad, all the best 👍
He’s not my son but thank you for the nice gesture
i like this nice work guys

Thank you
🎉
That jab of his is lazy! As soon as he throws its it's coming straight down...1st thing I would fix.
You are right he does have a lazy jab. However we was not in a full out spar and I was letting him work
all i keep seeing is his hand staying down after throwing a right i guess? i'm not sure what that punch is. left side of his head/face looks tasty tho
This was about 10 years ago or more when I made this vid before I went pro.Back then I was working a triple G short overhand right to the body. This punch does work and yes my hand was really low. I wasn’t worried back then as none of my amateur opponents gave me much to worry about when I was on the inside limiting there range of punch.
Needs to turn that wrist over a bit more on his straight punches. Make him step back a bit too. Hes got the reach, make sure he uses it! Other than that looks good and everything is tight. Keeping that guard up firm on pucnhes which is great.
Promo SM
Great job everyday counts and its good to see someone stick with something that's as productive as boxing.
