Great video! I'm currently testing this method using a secondary account before applying it to my main business account. My main question is: Does this serve as a way to fully circumvent GoDaddy's complicated "migration process"? It appears to be an effective DIY approach. I want to confirm this, as there's a lot at risk if I make a mistake with my business email. I'm planning to switch from GoDaddy's Microsoft services to Google Workspace. Thank you very much for this video, I want to transfer my email account with all my old emails from Microsoft 365 to Google workspace, and keep my domain name with GoDaddy, how can I do it?

Update 1: In M365 Exchange, I was not able to get "ApplicationImpersonaiton" added. I kept getting an error, "We couldn't save your changes. Please try again". After some Googling, I "believe" that this feature is being depreciated, so I skipped it. Update 2: "Data Migration", has been moved, I had to search for it, but it's along the left column, under, Data > Data import & export > Data Migration (New). By far the best walkthrough that I've found, THANK YOU!!!

I went through the steps, all the emails and folders copied over perfectly, I activated the gmail and I can SEND from my gmail, but all receiving goes back to my outlook (go daddy hosted) email. Is there some way to get inbound emails to go into my gmail?

Was doing the switch from godaddy to gmail workspace, and followed the guided steps by gmail, so I have already ACTIVATED the gmail and found the old emails were not appeared in Gmail, I was soooo frustrated, until I found your video teaching on migrating the old emails, I was hoping it would work for me, but still worried as you kept reminding "do not activate yet".....but well, I still tried your steps and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all emails are now shown in Gmail! and works well with sending/receiving at Gmail too! thank you so much!!!

This is missing an important step! After importing, right-click the downloaded CSV file and then shift-click on the Delete option to permanently delete (not send to the Recycle Bin) that file which contains all your passwords in plain text.

Great informative video Nicole. Unfortunately, there is no option to transfer from my Google Wrokspace account to Gmail. When I arrived at the final window in classic mode, the target email address only allows transfer to another Google Workspace email. The "start" button is not active when I keyed in my Gmail address.

I have a client who wants to use google workspace, created an account, is being charged, but cannot log back in to change her account plan. I am almost ready to get her website live but this email piece we need to resolve. Right now her website is on wordpress, which is forwarding her email to gmail.
