Trying Not to Panic Because I Feel Behind in Life
Sometimes I have these moments of panic where I worry that I will never find my purpose/passion in life. And then I usually realize that I am way too deep in my fears, and digging myself in deeper. Here's a few things I do to get out of those moments and into my authenticity again. Would love to hear from you if you resonate 🤍

      Ahh merci ! Ça m’encourage beaucoup. Alors pour m’assurer, tu crois que je pourrai utilisé “tu” dans les vidéos future et dans les commentaires ? Mes profs m’ont fait peur d'être impoli !

    • @antdid_8576
      @antdid_8576 5 месяцев назад

      @@selonalice Quand tu parles aux personnes qui te regardent, en général tu utilises le "vous", mais certains utilise le tutoiement. Ce n'est pas impoli, c'est plus une forme de rapprochement entre toi et l'internaute, il se sent plus concerné. Dans la vie courante, quand tu parles à une personne que tu ne connais pas, ou que tu t'adresses à un groupe de personnes, tu utilises le "vous", c'est une forme de politesse et de respet, mais si tu parles à un ami ou une personne que tu connais bien tu peux utiliser le "tu" sans problème. Dans tous les cas comme tu as un accent anglais, la personne comprendra vite que tu apprend le français et ne prêtera pas attention à ce genres de choses. Dans ta vidéo tu fais souvent l'erreur du genre, avec "un" et "une", c'est plutôt classique pour un anglais étant donné que vous utilisez le "a/an" et le "the" autant pour le féminin que pour le pluriel, de la même manière que le "you" qui correspond à la fois au "tu" et au "vous". Je pense que si tu essais de régler ce problème là ton langage serait plus fluide et facile à écouter, même si on arrive très bien à te comprendre. Sorry for BAD long text but It gives you your reading of the day haha

      @selonalice 4 месяца назад

      @@antdid_8576 J’aime beaucoup ce mot "rapprochement." Merci d'avoir pris le temps d'écrire ce commentaire ! C’est logique, ce que tu as dit, et c’est bon pratique aussi. J’essaierai d’être plus précis avec le masculin/féminin dans le futur… c’est vrai que c’est difficile de me rappeler de tous les genres des mots. Mais avec du temps j'espère :)

    Hey! I want to try this as a first sewing project, but I have two questions: what would be the best way to adjust this to a midi skirt length and could I make this skirt with a more stretchy, lightwieght, flowy fabric? Thanks!

    • @selonalice
      @selonalice Год назад

      Hi Hannah, yay so glad you are trying this out. I definitely think you could use a lighter, flowy fabric - I would just make sure to add the full inch of ease around your hip measurement (I talk about this around 2mins in). To extend the skirt, you would have to extend the pattern down to wherever you want the skirt to land - but instead of measuring straight down like I did (around the 3min mark in the video), I would extend outward on either side on more of a diagonal. Then to cut out the pieces, I would probably cut the back piece on the fold where the centre line is (so instead of cutting out two back pieces, cut one piece on the fold). And then for the front, I would cut it out on the fold BEFORE you cut down the dart lines in the paper (so skip the step at 5:15). Once you have that cut in the fabric, THEN cut your pattern paper up the centre dart. Then take that back to your front skirt piece and only cut up one side of the skirt, rather than on both (the side that you want your dart). I would also add the zipper to the side seam instead of the back - so at 12:11, pin your zipper into one of the side seams, (the instructions in the video for sewing the zipper still apply). I think that would look much nicer for a more flowy skirt. I hope this doesn’t sound too complicated! In all honesty I haven’t actually tried this out, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. But if you are looking for more instruction, I found that Jess Dang makes a great Midi skirt w/ a slit tutorial, and so does Rosary Apparel (if you buy her pattern). Hope this was helpful :)
