Had almost the exact same injury. Slipped, foot went under me and I think I kind of sat down on it, three breaks and a dislocation that I heard happen. I saw the way my foot was pointing so I called the ambulance myself while lying there on the ice. Feels like cold fire when it happened eh?

How did you break it

I had broken my left ankle almost 11 years ago from a car accident on March 7th,2012. I do what it felt liked,too. I was 41 years old. It did suck for me not even enjoying an early summer back then. I was in one bedroom at my parents house for my recovery time. I have to used something that I did my business. I used a walker for in the bedroom and even used a wheelchair for 2 months. I had 3 different casts on my left leg. My swelling went down 4 days after my fiberglass cast was taken off. I was so lucky to have my parents were around. I even had staples pulled out just before the fiberglass cast was put on. I think it was 25 staples. 13 on one side and 12 on the other. My first cast was splint cast. I even wore the boot cast a little bit longer. When I was wearing the fiberglass cast before it was taken off that I stood up. I didn’t used any weight on that ankle. My parents had a cute little dog that for the first 2 weeks that I didn’t allowed him to jumped on me for a petted or even to cuddle with. When I got a fiberglass cast on he did jumped on the bed and cuddled. I still have some issues with it off and on.

I find out Monday, January 10, 2022, if I have to have surgery. I hope you find relief and heal 100%. I will be 60 in March, so I understand wanting to be normal. I'm very active, too... 22 is too young to not have a normal life. Godspeed

Hello Abbie! I broke my ankle 3 places/ triameollar fracture. I am now 4 months post op. I am going through exactly the same way how you describing in this video. My dorsiflex is limited, my inner ankle still hurt. My foot is still somewhat numbing and tingling from nerve pain...Can you please update on your hardware removal? How are you doing and if range of motion better after hardware removal? Thank you for sharing. Same feeling, it is emotionally and physically so hard.

i have never broke a bone but i have sprained my ankle and torn something in my ankle and i some how sprain my ankles every day

I had 2 open foot surgeries on both my feet I was in a lot of pain my feet were very flat that they had to fuse the bones together with screws I got screws all over my feet to make the arch

Hello, hope all is well. I recently broke my foot and am looking to stay active... I was wondering do you think that the weight from the cast will leave one side smaller or more toned then the other one? Do you do the same amount of reps on both legs or do you compensate for the extra weight?
