@@jillgrimwater3726 I agree. They written it so poorly. The solas in inquisiton/trespasser you can tell really regrets leaving Lavellan. In this game it just feels like he's only with her cause he has no other options. 😤

@jadeDurge1373 plus, I find it hard to believe she would be okay with all the death and destruction he causes. I mean he kills a good friend of hers and uses blood magic to make his spirit continually interact with but she doesn't even care.

@@jadeDurge1373 I still can't get over the fact that Lavellan speaks of him so lovingly after he killed Varric. I understand that he is hardened, but it's crazy how different he feels from the Inquisition/Trespasser. And to give up on your world, friends, your clan - if alive, to be with him after everything that has happened, I don't know. How big is that prison? Is she completely cut off from the world now? Solas can visit people in their dreams, but Lavellan isn't a dreamer. Is he the only person she will see for the eternity now? Varric's death is a really big thing, but it's so glossed over by Solas and Lavellan. Especially that she was the one who sent Varric and Harding after the Dread Wolf. I'm so conflicted about their relationship now. Seeing how many things he was doing out of love to Mythal, but how there were people who loved HIM and followed him and always stood by his side - like Felassan - just to get murdered.

@@pativi6643 I really think the way they wrote Varric off was terrible. As I said before he should have been trapped in the fade as the lyrium dagger opens the fade up..had you left your hawke in fade prior they could have found each other there. That's what I think should have happened His reasonings could have been built on so much better than it was in veilguard..but I think writers are inexperienced over the previous writers and this is where it goes wrong, they are writing on top of an already complex story.

And let's not forget that it wasn't the Inquisitor, his heart as he calls her, that convinced him to redeem himself. It was Mythal, his first love, and yet the Inquisitor still wants to be with him. A person who clearly loves and respects Mythal more than he does her 😣😒.

Sadly no. The only romance she'll talk about is the one with Solas. I'm told the director of this game was a huge fan of this romance and didn't care about the others.

Inky will speak vaguely about other romances - that there's someone waiting for them back home. There's also an exlusive love letter from each romanced companion as a codex entry, they are really lovely. And I think there's banter between Inky and Dorian if romanced, when they meet up.

@pativi6643 I think it was something along the lines of Dorian mentioning how he wishes he was drinking wine with instead of being where he currently was. They don't even interact with each other 😒. Unless I missed something I don't the Inquisitor talks about any other romances specifically other than Solas.

@@jillgrimwater3726 At one point Dorian, Morrigan and Inky are in the same room together for some time. Dorian calls Inky Amatus and asks him how they are holding up considering the things that are happening in south.

@jadeDurge1373 when she popped up I was like "wtf is this???" Tbh I wasn't completely mad because in one scene earlier, I realized my Levellan looked like a big sister to my Rook. Haha

my inquisitor looked fine in every scene until this one -- where she walked in with a vallaslin across her forehead 💀 like girl where did u find the time between fighting off the venatori downstairs and now to get re-inked and also WHY

@jadeDurge1373 awesome thanks! My dumb ass tried to romanced Taash, Darvin, and Lucanis at the same time. My main goal was Lucanis but SOMEHOW Taash ended up being the romance before him. Lol. Now I'm on my second run through and I want to make different choices, but I'll burn Minrathous down myself if it gets in the way. Ha ha

@@D_89 according to what I've been told you have to select specific dialogue options to raise his relationship enough for it to unlock again

@@masha22092000r nah he folds like a paper bag for Mythal. Lavellan was apparently never that important 😂 If you read Morrigans codex is it's implies she's either cheating on GW or they've made it canon that no one romanced her

@@almamater489 her codex says something along the lines of that she has bed more men than trees have branches. In origins she's never really interacted with anyone outside her and her mother, she's very foreign to the human world and customs. Seems very strange of a statement for someone who was very recluse until HOF romanced her.

@@jadeDurge1373 Can you share the name of the codex entry? I find that weird, more akin to rumors about her, like her codex entry in Inquisition. Morrigan did say that she bedded people before in Origins though, the Warden isn't her first, just the one that she falls in love.

Yeah I wasn't too happy about it personally. I never even got a proper conclusion with solas/Lavellan or Rook/Lucanis.

@@Keram-io8hv basically she only has her memories..nothing else about her is mythal, she basically just gives herself that title due to poor writing in my opinion. Flemeth was possessed from what I could gather and Solas took her essence, flemeth sent Mythal memories to Morrigan when she was killed by solas and part of Mythal who didn't have memories was put into an idol. So they needed Morrigan and Mythals idol to basically create a whole Mythal lol Hope that makes sense haha

⁠@@jadeDurge1373Yep. Morrigan even spells it out during her first conversation with Rook. Morrigan is all about free will. It’s one of her biggest character traits. She would never have allowed Mythal to possess her if it meant the loss of her freedom. She accepts the memories of Mythal only because they pose no threat to her. Her mind, as she said, is still her own.

@@stellasol5265 at the end he shows some emotion, just not alot. It felt like everything we went through in inquisition just didn't happen, if you get me? I really had hoped for something more for them. Trespasser was such a good build up, he showed so much more regret for her

@@newsweedge I feel like it was just thrown in there to please the fandom. Yet on the trespasser there was such a good build up. Heck, he showed more emotions about it when companions commented on their romance in inquisition compared to here. So unrewarding through so many hours playing throughout the trilogy. Massive disappointment. It's even worse if you wanted to just be good friends with solas too. I don't mind rook as an idea, the point was to get someone who he wouldn't expect, someone unpredictable. But it really felt like it should have been the inquisitor as the main protagonist.

@@samanthahardman7459 it is. I'm gonna put it down that he wasn't letting his guard down to Rook. However the ending just felt like my Lavellan was the second choice 😭 Absolutely nothing like the Trespasser Solas where he refused to let her get hurt by his actions and almost admitted his whole plans to her.

@jadeDurge1373 the more I'm playing through this the more it feels like he never really loved the Inquisitor and that it was just Mythal he loved all along. Heartbreaking

@@samanthahardman7459 I was looking on Reddit as a fair few players felt the same and someone analysed it by saying Mythal was an abuser, she took Solas and groomed him into doing anything she wanted. He didn't want to be stripped from the fade, yet she made him. She involved him in a war he wanted no part of, yet he had to listen to her because he was her slave. Which makes sense due to the fact he gets really angry at the inquisitor if they drink from the well of sorrows. I'm quoting him when he says "you are Mythals creature now" He knows too well how bad it can go . I could elaborate further, however I don't want to spoilt it if you haven't played the end. But I 100% get how you feel because I felt the same until I read that post

@jadeDurge1373 that's actually good to read. I feel like he shows a lot of himself in this game but there seems to be so little of it shown towards the inquisitor.

@@samanthahardman7459 hard agree. But it's hard for devs to see constructive feedback in the sea of negativity at the moment 😅 I would love for them to make an update and make it better but I have a feeling they just want to be done with this era.

Same. Absolutely gutted. I never expected the writing to be this bad. Can't believe I thought it would carry the game despite all the other weird choices. But the writing is the worse part of this mess.

Sadly 😢 there's more content towards the end but still didn't feel like a big conclusion like I had hoped. However it was still very fun to play! Hopefully they may update it with better dialogue if they take a note from Larian studios. However it really depends on EA too..

@@dgearlock thank you! I had to go for a walk to shake off the dopamine comedown the game gave me 😭 I'm not too sure if I should upload the ending as I was a bit disappointed. It's not terrible but it just didn't feel like a conclusion if you get me?
