I have watched this film many times, it’s very good, funny, sad and down to real life, definitely one of my favourite films. I will not be subscribing to your channel, your view of life is not on track....you have chosen this film just so that you can be controversial...!

The first thing that I want to say is that I have a disability. My condition is called Cerebral palsy. Another thing that I want to say is that I liked the movie. Also not, disabled people are not going to disagree with the film. I also think that the movie is based on the environment they are surrounded by because if you feel your parents and society treated you less, then you are in some way shaped by it. In some ways, I also believe that this film shows independence from the characters in the movie. One other thing that I think is that women's and men's brains chemistry works differently than a woman's brain. The last thing that I want to say overall about these poems that I need is that it is hilarious and is not to be taken seriously in some shape or form (side note, I am a young woman.)

Well this was interesting and I disagree with your assessments (and assumptions). I’m not disabled but I’m a guy and this is a guy movie. This is about young guys bonding, becoming buddies and having an adventure. Your judging it from different points of view which is fine and understandable but I think you cross a line when you start talking about boycotts. This is the way young guys (if they’re lucky) approach the world and you’re judging them for that and shaming them and I think that’s wrong. Because they’re awkward and self conscious about women and sex - that’s most boys. You say it’s painting a picture that disabled people don’t have sex, I say it’s what I (and most guys) make these characters relatable. That’s why people (or at least some people) would say it’s a feel good movie. Not because able bodied people would say “oh I’ll never have to go through that so I feel good about my life” (which is a really unfair assumption). And this was based on a true story so a lot of the things you imply aren’t realistic really happened. The brothel that specialized in disabled people is a real thing and I don’t think it’s a bad idea. Like I said I’ve never been disabled but I was a scared awkward kid and even being able bodied girls terrified me. If I was disabled I may never have gotten anywhere with women. Seems to me a brothel would be a god send. Not just about the sex it’s about a woman making you feel like a man which gives a guy strength and gratitude. As for the actors not being disabled well I don’t know. I don’t completely disagree but the writer was not disabled and the main actor who was also the producer was not disabled. He has his career to think about too and if he’s not being cruel or exploitive and if he put in all this work I don’t see the issue there. It would have been nice if they cast at least one or two disabled people (maybe they did in smaller roles I don’t know) but well like I said I get where you’re coming from but and I think your criticism and advocating for disabled actors in the roles goes too far when you start talking boycott. We should advocate for more disabled actors getting work but also… acting is a difficult career path. There are tens of thousands of actors out there who don’t get work for a variety of reasons. Ben Afleck and Matt Damon had to write their own screenplay because They couldn’t get work. That’s the way it is. Nobody is entitled to anything and if you expect to make it you better be incredibly good looking or you better hustle and make things happen yourself. Even then there are no guarantees. If you get into acting you don’t know that you’re naive and that’s on you. That being said, again I’m for advocating and pushing for disabled people getting disabled roles - If they can do the job as good as another actor but nobody is entitled to anything, that’s my point. This has been a lot longer than expected. I hope if you read it you see my point of view. I don’t discount your POV but I do think you’re being a little unfair and little judgmental. (Also there may be things in the movie that I would agree with you are wrong or offensive or exploitive or whatever I don’t know I haven’t seen it yet - I just saw what you saw - the trailer. So I’m just commenting on your criticisms thus far.) And I only wanted to say something because I really thought you were looking at it from one fairly narrow perspective and thought it was important to point out that other valid ones exist. Cheers. One last thing the disabled person driving at the end of the trailer is blind. At the moment I don’t think technology has made it possible for blind people to drive so I don’t think that’s perpetuating a negative stereotype. And it’s Funny! It is not mean, it is not negative, it’s funny. I don’t know how you don’t see the humor there.

I am from Newcastle, both of my parents are from Newcastle, both of my paternal grandparents are from Newcastle, my maternal grandmother is from Durham and my maternal grandfather was from Lancashire (ooh exotic!); the furthest my known ancestors are from is Ireland, and that's so far back as to be irrelevant. So "egg in a window" (an egg fried in a circle cut out of bread) is the extent of my familial culinary experience! I often feel very jealous of friends with such varied ancestry! I live near the metro station and have a student flat next door and many others nearby. Some years the students are perfectly considerate but every now and again you get a flat that will be having parties multiple times a week and a few times this has gone on till past 6am. I generally just let them get on with it but have had to contact the police a couple of times. Some are just incredibly selfish. A couple of years ago we even had a student knock at our front door at around 12am and force his way inside our flat and refuse to leave... He was convinced he was in his own place and wouldn't leave. We had to physically force him outside. The guy had clearly taken some sort of substance (wasn't alcohol). I understand the students benefit the economy in the local area but the area used to be full of families and there were just as many shops back then.
