Project Walkthrough: Estate Property Tree & Shrub Maintenance
This was a great project for us; we do weekly lawn maintenance for this client so we were very familiar with the property and what needed to be done to ensure the client achieved what they were looking for and we were no long getting hit in the face as we mowed around the gardens and property line lol. I have some before and after photos on my Instagram page if you'd like to see those!

BOSS V-Plow Vs. Straight Blade (which is better?)
Просмотров 12 тыс.2 года назад
Hello, thanks for watching! On today's episode I discuss some of the positive aspects of both the BOSS DXT V-Plow and the Super Duty Straight Blade. Both plows have been amazing so far, but they are very different and one may be better for you depending on what sort of work you're doing. My hope is that after watching this video you'll have a better understanding of each and are prepared to mak...

For those that are thinking about getting into the snow removal/plowing business there is a lot to consider and learn when it comes to snow plows. At first it may seem overwhelming and like a lot of different steps, but before you know it you'll be connecting and disconnecting your snow plow without even thinki...

Hustler TrimStar 200 Hour Review
Просмотров 7 тыс.2 года назад
Today we’re showcasing the Hustler TrimStar 48" commercial lawn mower. This is a walk behind zero turn mower, and at the time of the review I have put just under 200 hours on it. Let's go over the Good, Bad, and Ugly. What are your guys thoughts on the walk behind mower from Hustler (or any other brand for that matter)? Would love to hear your comments down below! www.hustlerturf.ca/products/tr...
Pouland pro, naaaaa, that can't even start
What matters more , the higher newtons of blowing power or the the higher mph wind speed of the sthil. . I have the champion that has 230 mph wind speed and 63 cc.
Newtons
Good God, what’s the weight on that thing?
It's heavy lol.
Good video
Why is it the best , just because you say so ? Let's see it operate ?
Well the ratings speak for themselves; has the most power and blow force of any backpack blower. I've used the BR800, which is Stihl's most powerful and it doesn't even come close. This thing blows piles, wet or dry, with ease. Bigger/wider tube probably helps. Only cons is they're really heavy and bulky. There are a lot of videos showing the operation, I don't have one at the moment.
@louch.landscapes 👍 What about price ? Do you know what they run ?
@@jfk1792 About the same as the BR800. Here in Canada, where everything is way more expensive lol, they're about $950
@louch.landscapes 👍 I'm in the market for something more powerful than a $200. Hand held but not as big or expensive as a big commercial unit. Thanks
Ryan Knorr?
That's what I thought at first
You can runthe v plow like straight blade press middle the buttons and it will angle left and right just like straight blade and scoop and v by pressing the top two buttons or bottom two same time not sure if you know that or not juts thot say somthing some dealers won't show you that for some reason
I agree….👍
This Blower is a Beast!
With respect, thanks for the video, but I was looking for a little more information and a little bit less hard rock soundtrack.
I'm sure there are a hundred other videos on YT that can help lol. All the best.
@@louch.landscapes If you can't provide the info , don't post !
Great video
Good work caveman 💪💪 that was perfect video for me bc this is my first year operating the plow truck. I hooked up Fisher straight plow before but not a boss. Thank you for that
You are a life saver. I can't tell you enough how greatful I am.Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're welcome, happy to hear it was helpful! All the best.
That's one sexy beast 😍
Not any more.redmax ebz 9000
Their new blower looks really nice - more blow force but slightly less cc.
@@louch.landscapesthe blow force is what you want
@louch.landscapes the blow force is what you want the ebz has 56n compared to the at 48n. The difference is huge. I have the 9010 and it's a beast but, no longer the most powerful
The redmax is great but the price is going to keep a majority sticking with their echo
Please make a video after you mount the sulky. I am interested in seeing how you mount it on there. Very interested in buying one of these mowers.
I have one for my tree business. I love it
Whats the model
@ same as the one in the video. Biggest one Echo makes
Br800 in my opinion is more durable
The one thing I do like about the Stihl's is that they are a bit more protected as well. The plastic on the Echo's isn't that strong.
Disagree. Valves on the 4 mix Stihl equipment requires more maintenance and more moving parts to fail IMHO...I will stick with Echo/Shindaiwa for longevity and performance...to each their own
@@kirkthebeerslinger Sometimes I think it's just luck of the draw when you buy any equipment/brand, there are always lemons. That said, I use to only run Stihl and for the past year I have noticed a serious decline in the quality and function. Could just be me though.
I have it and it's abeauty. The content about the sound?? All leaf blowers are loud mah boi
For sure, but up to this point I had only used Stihl and this is WAY louder lol.
Nice video, how do you like the cut quality on this machine ?
It gets the job done and looks good when it's dry. It's definitely not the best I've ever used though, when the grass it wet it doesn't do a good job discharging so it can leave clumps.
I wish I could connect my plow that easily I always have issues with aliening the pins with the holes getting the truck close enough to the plow the plow at the right height so the hooks on the truck match
It may be the best but it's definitely the loudest
If it only had a bass boat seat on it. AWESOME
How's the ol girl holding up? Parking brake as big an issue as you thought in the review?
Holding up great, still love it. About 550 hours on her now. Ya the parking brake it a terrible design, needs to be tightened a few times a year if you want it to work properly.
Thank you, great explanation
Thanks for the review. The deck adjust is the main reason why I am interested in the Trim Star.
It's a great feature. I believe it's the only walk behind that has it set up like a regular zero turn, but the controls are the best! Good luck.
Scag has a similar lever. Ferris has a lever that you wind and unwind. @@louch.landscapes
My boss has 834 hrs, still runs Really good, thats the 54 inch Our 48 inch has 513 hrs love emm..
Definitely one of the best mowers I've used, extremely versatile!

Neither one is that good without wings.
You have wings on your v plow?
@@louch.landscapes i have a winged straight that sits right at 9ft. I'd run wings on an 8'6 V though and feel comfortable going down the road.
Wings on the straight would nice, I think it would be a little much on my 9.2 v plow but may be not@@jamesnm21
Thanks for the info. Just purchased a 2017 GMC that came with a plow and needed someone to show me how to hook/unhook. Super simple, thanks for the video!
No problem, good luck!
Can u do a video of it on the Chevy please
Meant are the plows universal? Can u run the v blade on the Chevy too?
Yes, the plows are universal, the mounts are specific to the truck. So I can put both plows on both trucks, which keeps things flexible in case one goes down, etc.@@phillipdeist9183
When the pins go in, do those springs that hold the pins go up or down? My plow is connected and one spring is below the pin and the other above it. Thanks
I believe they are both suppose to be below the pins - perhaps one of them is bent?
I had one for my truck when I did residential properties now I use a John Deere R series with a dual blower on the back and Cat loaders with snow baskets to do hospitals and colleges
Did you like it when did residential? I have a lot of estate properties that have very large driveways so I’m thinking this is going to be great for those.
I was looking for a straight Vs v-plow, pros & cons video, so this was great!
Thanks, happy to hear it helped!
Is that diesel or a 6.4L ?
Both were gas at the time - the RAM I have now is a Diesel though, this will be my first snow season with a Diesel so we'll see how it performs!
@@louch.landscapes interesting… I want the 9’ 2” but the boss dealer doesn’t recommend putting it on my 2500 gasser I now see that most guys run the 9 2 on Diesel trucks
Hmm, I'm not sure, I was never told that but that could be right. I will say that I noticed a big difference this year when I mounted the DXT on the Diesel version of the RAM 2500, the front end is definitely a lot beefier. The gas performed well still, but you could feel the plow a lot more on the front end.@@Snortolodmyr-SS-Cokelensky
Great vid ..just subscribed watching from Ireland
Thanks for watching!
What truck are you running? 2500 or 3500
2500
@@louch.landscapes thank you sr.
You're welcome! You just need to make sure that the truck has the snow plow prep package. @@tortuga407
@@louch.landscapes yes sr. Just called I need to upgrade a little
V plow size ? 9’2?
There are speed buttons on V plow controller.
I am on the fence about weather to get the full trip or trip edge. Any input would be appreciated. I’m not really getting it to make money. It’s mainly for my driveway. I have heard trip edge is terrible for gravel driveway.
I would say go with the full trip if you have a gravel driveway and you're just going to be using it for personal use. Regardless, It's a good idea to plow with the blade up off the ground an inch or two until the ground freezes so that you aren't digging up the driveway which will make it uneven and a much rougher plow. Hope this helps!
I bought a Boss 7'6" straight because i have to get in some tight spaces. I also bought the Boss wings for it.... make my straight into a 10' scoop. Simple is great... thinking about a pull plow next. Great video
The wings are a great addition. I would love to get a tailgate plow eventually, would be so nice to just back up to a garage drop the blade and drive out! Thanks!
Can you use the v plow controlle ron the straight blade
No, unfortunately not.
Yes, you can! I've done it many times. A straight control will even run a v plow, but it will function just like a straight.
Is there a all electric model?
No, not yet. Maybe one day!
How much are they?
$8k CAD. That was 2 years ago so they may have gone up. If you're in the US through they are likely cheaper than that.
people want to see the RESULTS -- the cut
How much faster is a walk-behind compared to a self propel Tmemaster?
I don't know the exact speed, but it's a commercial walkbehind vs. the Timemaster which is a residential mower, so it's a lot more powerful. I find it to be very quick, a little slower than a stand on or sit down zero turn but it will still increase your productivity.
Thanks
Subbed i want one me and my son River enjoyed this video
Thank you, happy to hear you both enjoyed it! Amazing mower, love it! Added a few new things to it this season so I'll get an update on the channel soon.
Mine just turned 400 hours. I'm on my 3rd carburetor and head rebuild on the fx731 motor. Probably not hustlers fault but.. mows good when it runs correctly
Sorry to hear that. I haven't reached 400 yet but son far so good, fingers crossed!
Bought my first Boss v plow in 1989. I’m on my second one now still going strong ,only problem I’ve had is from running into things.👍
Wow, not a bad return on investment! Thanks for watching, take care!
just got a new truck and it had this plow. my driveway is level but has a slight incline. the plow pins would not release. is there a way to block it or something to get it to release? i had to face my truck down the driveway in order to get it off but the control on the plow didnt work, the pin only released when i hit the joystick control inside the truck
Hi Craig, thanks for the question. I'm not 100% sure, I haven't had that happen to me, but usually when I have issues I'll usually take it to my local dealer where I purchased the plow and have them look at it. Perhaps give that a try. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck!
