Katherine home is gorgeous and I love her website. I also love it when people's holiday decorations harmonize with existing decor. I, too, collect Rose Medallion porcelain and created a "Rose Canton" table top tree in the sitting room.

Although I love traditional styles, I appreciate what you did with this house. I believe you are born with an eye for decorating and can be self-taught with needed knowledge which doesn't come with a college degree.

This is not the ordinary cookie cutter ranch home. More than the typical 1,200 - 1,600 ft house. This is more like 2,500 ft and up. Otherwise, there wouldn't be the possibility of incorporating all these great design details. So there is that.

I like most of you color choices and soft country style, etc. I personally am not a fan of "open" floor plans, as they are costly to heat and cool and can be quite noisy. I like small comparmentalized rooms.

I love your beautiful home. It is so warm and welcoming. The only thing I would update is the print above the fireplace. If it isn't a family heirloom, replace it with a seasonal wreath or a beautiful mirror.

Save it. It does have character that you do not find in new builds. Someone needs to get a hold of this house and do some remodeling.

I love the color scheme and decorating style. The home photographs beautifully but, this is not how people live. The openness is great for parties but does not accommodate daily family life. Families have people of different ages with different interests. Such openness doesn't allow for noisy activities like watching sports or playing music to coexist with quiet activities like reading or doing homework. They are unattractive but everyone has a television. Where is it? If it's hidden in a storage piece, do you rearrange the furniture in order to watch it? Also, people want a garage. You have several sitting areas already. Losing a garage, especially an attached garage, lowered the value of this home. I conclude that this home is beautiful but impractical.
