मेरे प्रिय भाई बहनो चलो मैं पौड़ी गढ़वाल से हूँ। और मैं कह रहा हूँ ये गीत कुमाव का है और बहुत सुन्दर है.. बहुत फेमस भी है। .. हम गढ़वाली है हम कुमावनी है हम जौनसारी है बस यही करते रहेंगे क्या हम.. मुझे अपने कुमॉऊ के भाई बहनो और जौनसारी भाई बहनो से बहुत प्यार है । .एक बक्त आएगा जब इन सब बातो का फ़ायदा उठा के कोई हमारे सबसे सुन्दर उत्तराखंड को उठा ले जायेगा और हम देखते रह जायेंगे. जब उत्तराखंड को पाने के लिए इस आंदोलन में सेकड़ो जाने गई थी तो किसी एक विशेष प्रजाति की नहीं गई थी उसमे उत्तराखंड के हर क्षेत्र से आये आंदोलनकारी थे याद रखना अपने जौनसारी बंधू कभी नहीं बोलते वे जौनसार के हैं. (Jubin Nautiyal)जबकि उनकी संस्कर्ति उनकी परम्परा उनकी गीत और वहाँ की सुंदरता उत्तराखंड में सबसे सुन्दर मानी जाती है ,, चलो मान लो हमें पता है गाना कुमॉऊ का है ये गाना गढ़वाल का है या जौनसार का है। .लेकिन बाहार वाले को सिर्फ इतना पता है की कोई भी गाना उत्तराखंड का है. मेरी आप सब लोगो से बिनम्र बिनती है चाहे वह उत्तखण्ड के किसी भी क्षेत्र से हो गीत संगीत संस्कृति परम्परा के नाम पे आपस में न लडे और जहाँ भी रहे बन्धुत्व के साथ रहे और झगड़ा मुख्यतः कहा है उसका समाधान यह है की सभी बंधुवो से ये बिनती भी है किसी भी गाने को वहां के क्षेत्रीय भाषा के अनुसार अनुवादित करे बताये अन्यथा पहाड़ी या उत्तराखंडी बोलिए और किसी भी गाने को चोरी न करे बिना किसी के परमिशन के . और देश का नंबर एक राज्य बनाये अपने उत्तराखंड को.. और अपने उत्तराखंड को एक साथ आगे ले जाये चलो आज ये कसम खाये की हम सब एक हैं.

I am 11 and learning this in chorus

My daughter Meghan travelled to India from Hamilton, Canada several years ago with some students from McMaster University. She heard this song being sung by some villagers in Uttarakhand and jotted it down in her notebook. When she returned to Canada, she wrote her arrangement of the song and it was performed first by the world famous, Hamilton Children's Choir. Meghan was a member of the choir from when she was 8 years old until she was 22 and is still an associate member and periodically an assistant conductor. She is currently a Clarendon Scholar at Oxford where she is working on her Ph.D. in Music and is active in several choirs at Oxford. Needless to say, we as her family members are very proud of her and all of her accomplishments.
