The Pet Carpenter design and build bespoke furniture for owners and pets. Born from a love of our own pets, carpentry and home interiors we deliver an upgrade for your pet and your home environment. By taking the functionality of traditional crates and cages which provide safe spaces for pets we create stylish and sustainable furniture that can be incorporated seamlessly into your home.
We help our clients through the design process working from the foundations of providing safe and cosy spaces for pets. This is followed by incorporating practical features such as worktops, drawers and cupboards into your furniture that will work for you in the home. Finally it's about creating a piece that is uniquely yours in style and finish. From different wood materials, paint and wax finishes to the selection of ironmongery the world is your oyster when designing with us.

House Rabbit Bespoke Furniture with integrated Hay Feeder
The bespoke piece of pet furniture has been made to give our clients house rabbit a safe space in the home when needed. Dual level living has been designing into the bedroom space with the upper level accessed by a ramp. We have also included our unique hay feeder to allow the rabbit to have access to their food at all times. Our client selected the sliding door to allow for their Rabbit to come and go as they please.
The entire piece has a painted finish with Mole's Breath by Farrow and Ball which is offset by black ironmongery and an oak waxed worktop to match their home interiors. .

Please what is the name of the mechanism
Our up and over doors are designed by us and joinery is completed within the bedroom unit. We haven't yet been able to source any systems available on the market.
Does this come in any other colors? Such as white instead of grey? Is there a link to this specific one shown? I’m having difficulty on the website.

Please forgive my poor spelling. I would very much like to discover what hardware the carpenter is using to get the drop down door function. It does not look sophisticated. Hi Peter, thanks for getting in touch. It's been integrated into the unit design. It is a design that our team has developed over the years and to date we haven't found a better alternative.

What are the dimensions/ cost of this bed please?
Hi Annie, thanks for getting in touch and apologies for delay in response. We actually design and build everything to our clients specifications so we can make to suit your dog and home. Pricing will vary depending on what style, choice of materials and size but as a guide you can expect to commission a piece like this from £895. What size would you say for an adult female Doberman?
Hi Leanne, thank you for getting in touch. So it would be important to firstly consider the actual physical bedroom crate space that your dog needs. Does she already use a crate? If so we would work off these dimensions to give an idea for the overall furniture size. If she does not have a crate currently this size guide: www.thepetcarpenter.co.uk/what-size-dog-crate-do-i-need/ gives some useful guidance as to how much space you dog needs.
