Navy some joke .one ship from another force would destroy them in one encounter. Usless waste of money.
Now they do not have enough crew for a canoe
The Irish navy should get way more funding. We definitely have enough money to get better weapons and equipment. Our Air Force is a joke right now.
What air force
@@nathanfitz5299 yea literally, what air force. I don't even think we have single bib plane to defend ourselves
23 aircraft ...
I'm going to join the Navy to die. Don't worry I'm not worth saving and I'm not special. People join the Army, Navy and Air-force to die.
Fee wok what does that mean?
Grow up
Why do the Irish still wear British uniforms
Yeah. Britain has a monopoly on blue, right?
Well, all their ships have been built in uk
I love our millitary. Please don't take my last comment too seriously. Again, I'm presuming that sailor just ment something like "to practice what we have learned". God bless our defence forces. I have a hugh ammount of respect for yeah all. I have never served, but you all seem, from meeting yeah in person and what I've heard and seen on various social and regular media like a great force to be looked upto. God bless the Irish defence forces. Jesus Christ is my Lord, God and King. God bless Ireland.
"to practice, whatever, we've been learnin" I'm presuming that came out wrong...I know one sailor isn't learning the skills of the raiding party, but, again, I'm presuming this came out wrong: "whatever, we've been learnin" as in maybe: "What we have learned" and not "whatever the F**k we've supposed to have learned" or maybe he ment "a chance for the raiding team to practice what they have learned in there job, and those who support them have learned in there particular jobs".

drugs as in illegal drugs, not ones that would benefit a normal citizen
Yh lad walk into ur local chemist say give me a kg of cocaine and a bottle of calpol
captain minehane, hello you took over the le oral I believe in 04/05 after captain power,i was a seaman and gunners mate at that time captain power was captain of le orla and I was glad you took it over because my then captain, captain power that I always showed great respect to and always followed my orders out to the best of my ability,i did slip up the odd time, but that man captain power was the reason I left the irish navy,he didn't like me one bit and he showed it.ran me down personally, and im sorry to say he is not a nice man,too this day I wish I never let him get the better of me and leave,it was my dream job
Hi from KAZAKHSTAN Army
Ireland better then Canada
I'm from Ireland I...i never knew that Ireland were actually that strong
They are not.
@@Mac_Eireann wrong theres only ablut 5k soldiers including air corps army and navy
@@Mac_Eireann google but loads of people are leaving cuz unless u got rich parents to give u money ur basically homeless cuz ireland is the 16th most expensive country to live in and u need about 80k a year to maybe live comfortably well actually u could live in northern ireland cuz the Queens money is there and its the cheapest place to live in the UK so
@@Mac_Eireann the irish government has abondoned its army since the 90s so they have left it with whatever money they had left same with equipment they are all scum bags to abondon there own military i hope the government people get killed and hopefully a better one will come in
Not aggressive enough
IRELAND!!!! GOOOOO!!!!!
Its not our fault that our "government" is handicapped
I'll give Glenda one thing. She has the best ass I have ever seen on a woman in person. Saw her wearing a super tight pair of jeans one day and oh my god that ass!
irish military sucks lol
+ollie_is _small lol
+ollie_is _small we do in Canada
+WillParodyTV Ireland remains neutral for certain reasons because they dont have the economy to spend on the military too much
+ollie_is _small We have to always fight cause USA has a lot of wars and were there brothers. there where 2 Canadian On the ground on seal team six when they killed Osama bin Laden. and jtf2 is the 3rd most elite special force in the world. #1US navy seals.#2KGB.#3 JTF2
+KMD Gaming haha thanks dude we have a lot of history here and we never had the best gear, vehicles or guns but thats turning around at the moment which is good to see.
irish military sucks lol
your mother sucks. $5 and she's on her knees lol
you ar fouk
WillParodyTV not as good as your missus
@@yermanoffthetelly nice one lol you tell him,
Actually a really good navy
iAm Rossi lol
It would be good if we had more vehicles but the government are fucking twats
It's really not compared to the dutch or Belgian Navy but Ireland has almost no need for a Navy.
@@aoibhinnomahony7712 when does ireland need a proper army , wear always neutral. Heck let America or Britain do all the work
@@celticlad5866 and to answer your question of when Ireland needs and proper army is in the event of an invasion armys arent strictly offensive
glorified coast guard
Valerie is a forward not a back
I thought neutral countries aren't allowed to deploy troops.
+Zorc Necrophades Peace keepers and ournavy are currently rescuing migrants in the Mediterranean :)
Tiger9376 So they're allowed on peace keeping missions but not allowed to be deployed in to combat?
pretty much they dont fight they provide training and aid etc
+Zorc Necrophades they are allowed be armed and retaliate but not be deployed on a combat focused mission
Not true. A 'neutral' country is allowed to do what it want's it's not a legally binding status, it's just a choice made by the country at the present. And yes the Army Ranger Wing has done combat deployments and has rescued hostages etc.
Where's the Guinness
Love it. 3 great guys, all icons :)
Wow, Ireland's "defence" force is a joke, no fighter aircraft, no capable war ships, and a tiny...army if it can be called that.
Adam15197 You realise that Ireland is a neutral country right? We only need a small amount of defense personnel because we aren't invading anyone or blowing up villages......
Pointblankmos Oh trust me, you're good at blowing shit up.
Are we now?
Sean O'Dempsey Yes.... Your fighter aircraft say it all.... upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f9/Pilatus_PC-9_of_the_Irish_Air_Corp_flying_in_formation_9.jpg
***** It's still a prime example of not what you need, but as the saying goes, 'better to have and not need, than to need and not have.'
Going to join soon can't wait
NICE!!!
How was it ?
This is a fantastic video that clearly sets out the message of Life After Cancer, through this GAA Charity Match held on 5 May 2014 to raise funds for cancer at both St Lukes Hospital and St James Hospital Dublin.
good on you lads!!!
Amazing work Greg! Well done :-)
I have never seen a black person in the Irish army or even a foreigner for that matter do they even exist
Give it time, Ireland has only really experienced any inward migration of significance over the last 15 years and for nearly half that time there has been a near ban on recruitment for economic reasons. Give it time, and you will see...
+Niall Hillis Good to hear, thanks for letting me know. Good luck with your training and mind yourself on the Golan and in Lebanon.
+Niall Hillis I watched The Recruits by RTE and I had thought the same question. It is a very valid question as it may be an indicator to how foreigners view Ireland and their allegiances. If anyone of whatever race colour or creed can show allegiance to our wonderful country then they will settle in fine.
+Niall Hillis By the way, good luck with the army. I thought about the navy as an engineer officer. They had a special rule which allowed current senior marine engineer officers in the merchant navy to join. I work in the offshore industry these days, but it would have been nice to do I suppose. When I see the Irish army, I think of Michael Collins and it gives me a sense of pride.
Native irish are the best suited for this job as they evolved around the Irish Enviornment.
Hello Limerick !!
Matt it is spelt "Corps"
THEALLtimeGAMERS Feed back is always appreciated, can you elaborate as to why its "Not very Good"
TheAllTimeGamers is a young boy who has yet to reach his teens. I say this because he has said so in his comments on other videos relating to the Irish Defence Forces. Don't lose any sleep over a boys opinion Matt.
Ireland sympathised with Nazi Germany and knowingly harbored Nazi war criminals post world war 2 under the guise of neutrality during the war. Go on RUclips and look up Nazis in Ireland.
Knob^
True.
Andrew T I know what the Irish are like...
Andrew T yes he did the same when the US president died and lots of countries had Nazis post war doesn make us any different
I doubt any western countries leaders would have gave their condolences for Hitler's death after millions of Jews died in concentration camps & those countries soldiers died on the battle field fighting Germany. Yes Nazi war criminals slipped in to some of those countries under false identities but the Irish government & some South American countries knowingly harboured them. Where was Ireland in WW 2?
Well done Matt, you captured the atmosphere and the story brilliantly!
well done to all envolved
