But why go through moving your life to potentially be in a worse off situation than you are here in the US? You have to consider that there are differences in culture, differences in language and on top of all of that, you're seen as a foreigner which means you'll have to deal with levels of discrimination potentially. At least here you may have some help on how to navigate and get around it, but there may be little to no recourse over there for those types of things. On top of that you're the new kid on the block so the locals may get preferential treatment for everything simply because they're more connected and that's their home! We have sisters going over there being unalived and taken advantage of via romance scams with no protection. We need to really start being honest about what moving to a whole other country can potentially mean. Not everyone has the knowledge or support to be able to do that and not everyone should do that.
