Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Southern Pines, is a faith community located in the Sandhills of North Carolina. The roots of this parish are traced to 1887, when the Rev. Robert T. Thorne, a semi-retired Episcopal priest, began offering the first non-denominational services. This 'first church' established in Southern Pines, would eventually become an Episcopal mission named 'Emmanuel' on December 25, 1899.
Today, the parish is a welcoming, thriving and vibrant community, reflecting the light of Christ from generation to generation.

Beautiful- well done Daniel. She will be missed by so many.
Disappointing sound quality for the recording of the vocals.
John Rutter Requiem begins @ 15min.

The Organ and Organist music is absolutely superb...its so beautiful, Dr. Ferguson selects the right mode of music for preludes and its so sacred to walk into God's House and hear the Organ speaking into the worship experience. Hallelujah!!!!
❤
Amazing!!!!
Prepare the way O Zion; your Christ is drawing near! Let every hill and valley a level way appear. Greet One who comes in glory, foretold in sacred story. Oh, blest is Christ that came in God's most holy name. He brings God's rule, O Zion; he comes from heaven above. His rule is peace and freedom and justice, truth, and love. Lift high your praise resounding, for grace and joy abounding. Oh, blest is Christ that came in God's most holy name. Fling wide your gates, O Zion; your Savior's rule embrace. His tidings of salvation proclaim in every place. All lands will bow before him, their voices will adore him. Oh, blest is Christ that came in God's most holy name.
I sing a song of the saints of God, patient and brave and true, who toiled and fought and lived and died for the Lord they loved and knew. And one was a doctor, and one was a queen, and one was a shepherdess on the green: they were all of them saints of God-and I mean, God helping, to be one too. They loved their Lord so dear, so dear, and His love made them strong; and they followed the right, for Jesus' sake, the whole of their good lives long. And one was a soldier, and one was a priest, and one was slain by a fierce wild beast: and there's not any reason, no, not the least, why I shouldn't be one too. They lived not only in ages past, there are hundreds of thousands still, the world is bright with the joyous saints who love to do Jesus' will. You can meet them in school, or in lanes, or at sea, in church, or in trains, or in shops, or at tea, for the saints of God are just folk like me, and I mean to be one too.
I love this hymn and love all these people in our choir and "I want to be one too."
They played this in church today, September 18th, 2022 AD.

Video was beautifully done. Thank you!
So children under age five will be required to be masked since they cannot be vaccinated?
Socks!
I always trip on saying the Apostles’ creed after all these years of saying the Niceness.
Yesterday was hard. Today is always so much harder for me personally. It’s been ten years since my beloved Ed Lammers joined the choir celestial. Miss him so.
Thanks be to God for our parish! Than you, John for the thoughtful sermon and service. Thanks, Homer and the musicians for the beautiful music. Thanks to the Browns for being the readers. Thanks to the technical staff for producing this video. And thanks for all the employees of the parish, who keep things afloat in these most challenging times. Ad gloriam Dei
Молодец, Танечка! Умничка! Люблю тебя!
Thank you, John….my heart is broken for Margaret. John and I have enjoyed your Sunday service, and I loved your Wednesday events.
Thank you John. Losing Margaret is overwhelming. God loves all of us.
Thank you John for giving us this information. I choose to worship at home at this time. I have been vaccinated but also I am elderly according to numbers. Of course, my heart is broken over Margaret. Everyone loved Margaret. I pray that you and your family stay well.
I am not religious, but that is pretty cool and respect to the effort to remain united in your beliefs.
Be well John.
This was just wonderful Homer and choir.
Thank you! ❤
Thankyou for this on Julians Day
The Order of Julian of Norwich, a contemplative order of Episcopal monks and nuns, is carrying on the spiritual legacy of St. Julian. Their website has links to several excellent resources for further study on this fascinating woman. www.orderofjulian.org/
