Excelente video ❤ espero que esten bien bien
I'm going to build a 12' to go on top of the cabin of my sailboat. Great little light tender. Thanks for the video.
Great video
Great job love your work can you tell me where I can get plans for this boat I would love to build one thanks for sharing
Never once mentioned the angle of the cut water or as you call stem
The boat is pronounced. " Pe' row."
The boat name is pronounced. Pe' row. 35 years ago in bayou country an elderly woman was standing and push poling herself across a bayou where she lived ... I've often wondered and assumed that the proper way would be standing... Or maybe kneeling in rough water and paddle from one side .. Only takes practice.
Wonderful I would help if yall were closer
At 52:36, what kind of boat is that behind him? Where the wider bow and stern would seem more practical.
I need more familiarization with what he's talking about. But, it's good he's teaching kids! Where kids need boats and fishing supplies. The table needs to be lowered for the kid. But what is the advantage of a pirogue? Why not widen the stern so there's more buoyancy? All reality, why not widen the bow too? Now around water hyacinth, a v-bow will allow a boat to cut through where a flat bottom will ride atop. But I don't know if a person can paddle through hyacinth.
In South Louisiana, at Fort Jackson in the 70's, they had pirogue races, where they used engines and were fast! They were originally built with Cypress. Nicholas Poret sells his book on Building Cypress Pirogues which is a good book. Then Nichols State University has an extension around Thibodeaux, La. Traditional Louisiana Boat School or something like that which I think is on you tube.
hi it looks a very well done job is it possible to have some details of the hydraulic pump and motor size and makes and the size of the ship as we are also planning to make modification of our ship . I will be very thankful you for your help. thanks.
Where can we find the guide referenced in the video?
Love this.. Good job👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
in a updated video would you use Gorilla Glue for the stem ect ?
if you can drive a nail you can drive a boat
Nice looking end result! I will never get over starting how you guys on your side of the pond get anything to line up properly with measurements like inches, feet and fractions thereof.
I like the shape ,however the joints should have all been beveled and it should of had funnel boards on the inside for better support
This place still around ?
Awesome build luv
I checked a lot of handbooks with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
Pygmy is really good about the documentation they send with their kits as is CLC. They're also available for support if you find yourself with a bad case of amine blush or your epoxy isn't curing well. For first time boat builders, a pre-cut kit is a safer bet. Trying to get a good scarf join on 4mm plywood isn't as easy as it looks. Once you've built your first boat, you can build your second with or without plans if you have much in the way of imagination. There are many free plans out there too. Then again, I trust a boat builder for boat plans more than a general woodworking site.

kinda narrow for a 30 foot beam;-)
I suspect he said/meant "3 foot beam"? ;)
Pls Read in the description..
love this, such a great idea
do you have any plans for 1700-1800 style river boats
What would be the most basic kit project to learn as a beginner?
Your own coffin, of course.
?
這一塊一塊的木板根據甚麼切出成模.而能拼裝成型的???
Great but I would have liked to have seen the boat in the water as well. Love the colors.
whats the weight limit for that boat?
Good video. Very educational.
i left you an email !
hello for a scharf how much do i have to take the tickness x how much
Scarf: 1:12 ratio; the length of the taper is 12 times the thickness of the members.
Those plywood parts seems to fit together nicely, is the ply 1/8 or 5/32?
If it's from pygmy, probably 4 mm marine ply.
Are all of the temporary frames built at the same level for the bottom of the boat/top of the frame?
WONDERFUL PROJECT !
Wow! Apalach! I have friend who live in Port St. Joe up the highway. I built a pirogue back in 2007/08. had it out in conditions way too windy for it, but it got me back home alright. Stuck to ponds after that.
