I fished lake Erie since I was in my 20s. I go out of lampe marina When it gets to about september The fish do move out deeper the bigger ones We were out in about 82 to 84 ft And we always hammered Them and always limited out The way I always did it As I use all big depsi divers I run 6 poles. I run number 3 on the dipsy out 200 feet. Then I would run the middle Pole out a 155 feet and straight out the back. About a 125 feet, but but I always used worm harnesses. Willow blades and very few Colorado blades. But the best colors I did with was purple and black large-scale. With purple and black beads plus plus On a Colorado blade. I had rainbow colors with the sharroost back On them I use a lot of eye max wor. Harnesses. There is a new bait and tackle shop. A few miles from poor Richard's that just opened about 2 years ago. You would have to ask them the name of the place because I can't remember it right now and they sell a lot of imax lures there poor. Richards used to sell a lot of them and especially the purple and black. But they haven't had him at all this year.I know this year's over, but just to give you a heads up for next year.Good luck and good fishing

You should try bleeding the fish in the livewell before you put them on ice. The fish is so much higher quality!
@larryaustin2201 usually I do but I just threw these on ice. I agree they are better bled out

And small Dipseys it so much easier
@ChrissyEis I like the bigger dipseys when fishing deep so I don't need to let as much line out
@@The_everyday_fisherman yeah but a lot of stress on your rods and nothing worse then a big Dipseys not opening up with the smaller ones you feel the fish so much better and with spider wire I am reaching the same depth you are usually feeding walleye out in 70 plus feet I am in Ashtabula so pretty close to the same depth as you and my 2 lines are going 45 to 55 feet down and most of the time that’s were you have feeding walleye so 110 feet back at 3 setting is accomplishing this
The pole on the side is good cheap I run wire line and I can’t keep 2 rods in most of the time .. and spider wire .
I ended up up with 9 and lost 5 it took 5 hours .
That's pretty sad 😕

The fact that 8 nice walleye in a few hours is considered “a slow day” is a testament to just how good Lake Erie walleye fishing really is

I CAUGHT 2 STEELHEAD TODAY BIGGEST WAS 32 INCHES LONG 15 1/2 LBS AND A TWO MAN LIMIT OF EYES BY 1 PM. WE SAW ANOTHER BOAT FIGHTING A STEELHEAD SO THE FALL BITE IS TURNING ON!! GOOD JOB GUYS.
@DEVILDOG1964 wow that's a massive fish!!! I never fished much in the fall because I usually start hunting. Hoping to still go out a few times and try for steelhead just out of the creek mouth

WE WERE BOTTOM BOUNCING WITH WORM HARNESSES WITH 4 RODS AND ONE ROD WITH A BANDIT AND A SNAP WEIGHT THAT CAUGHT BOTH STEELHEAD, 1.3 TO 1.6 MPH
THOSE CISCO ROD HOLDERS ARE SUPER ADJUSTABLE UP/DOWN, RIGHT/LEFT, 360 DEGREES!!
