Hi there, just found this video while searching info for an upcoming sailing on the Encore. Very good video, thanks for the detail and showing the inside of the ship. May I ask, what time did you make it onto the ship? What time was your departure from port? Thanks for your feedback.

We went a month ago (Oct ‘23). This was our last cruise with RC as they now have ruined their line with huge pricing increases on everything, those disgusting mdr menus, etc so we are done cruising with them. Anyway, we tried Grandeur as we were told because there weren’t a lot of things for them to do there aren’t a lot of kids. Wrong! There were children everywhere running all over no supervision. It’s like the moment the parents step from the gangway to the ship they tell the kids, go have fun! The food, what there was of it, was awful. We had the Royal Suite so we stayed in our cabin most of the time including for meals. They put a limit on pizza slices to two and wouldn’t even give my husband 2 slices each as I am disabled and he told them the second 2 were for me and pointed to me (in a mobility scooter) we really only got one apiece and frankly it was cold. The ice cream station only had vanilla the whole week. Crappy run terminal too. The people act like they don’t know what they’re doing. We’re diamond and this was probably the worst cruise start to finish.

We are doing NCL Encore 11-night Caribbean cruise on January 14 - 24, 2024. Where we're going islands are: Miami, Florida, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, St. John’s, Antigua, Philipsburg’s. Maarten, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, Miami, Florida we're at sea for two days one day at the first of trip and other day at the end

Great vlog, thanks for sharing. Looks like you had a great cruise holiday. Can I pick your brains on the online check in for your flights. I assume you booked them straight through, Newcastle Miami via Heathrow. Did you do your check in at the airport or online? We am flying to Las Vegas on Friday from Dublin via Heathrow. We can check in for our Dublin - Heathrow flight at 13:05 on Thursday, but the Heathrow - Las Vegas flight can only be checked in at 16:50 on Thursday. If you did your check in online, did you check in for your first flight and then a couple of hours later check in to you Heathrow - Miami flight or did you wait for the Miami flight check-in time and do both flights at the same time? I know it sounds a convoluted question but I hope you can let me know how you did your check-in.

Did you pay for the guided tour? Or will they drop you off for free and you can wonder around at your own pace? Thanks Heaps 😁

Ah, I've recently got back from cruising on MSC Virtuosa - it's so amazing to see how similar these ships are in this class - you could be on Virtuosa easily looking at this footage!

Gorgeous looking ship. Gawdy but I *love* shiney things. (I’m part magpie, part 80’s teen) My husband and I had our honeymoon in Barcelona, it was a string of disasters! Pockets picked, taxi dropped us at wrong hotel which was miles from our hotel, hotel couldn’t find our reservation so we got _bunk beds_ for our honeymoon! Frogs chorus kept us awake all night in our separate beds, etc… Have a great trip. The ship is lovely.

NCL Cruise Line SUCKS.... DO NOT book a cruise with NCL or you will regret it. They charge extra for everything. They hire the crew with no experience and then pay them less than other lines. They cancel stops and make them sea Days with no compensation. The food is mediocre at best. The free perks are not worth it.. Much better to book with RCCL, Celebrity or Holland America....

We’re looking into the Encore for our next cruise but not sure if it’s the best option for the kids? Their ages would be 12, 9 and 4. I know they have the kids clubs, but in general around the ship did u encounter a lot of kids? I don’t see many in the videos I’m finding online lol

Bait and switch scheme Norwegian Encore does taking bookings to the Dominican Republic and then switches once your are on board

The Choir of men was a great fun experience. Glad to see all the people in the audience having fun and joining in. Did they have the show Kinky Boots in the theater when you were traveling? On our trip they did the 1st show and the 2nd that I had tickets for got postponed due to some large waves and wind that was rocking the ship. They cancelled the makeup show with no explanation. Was disappointed that I missed it. Thanks again for sharing your adventure.

That bus tour looked like it was fun! Loved that your dad was enjoying each of those samples, he looks like a fun guy to be around. I was on the Encore back in the start of December and had so much fun and it is interesting to see the same crew faces that I spoke with just a few weeks back. After seeing the fun during the Bingo event I am sad that I didnt get down to participate in it. I am looking forward to seeing your next videos as your trip continues.
