I think so many of us imagined this song would fit the ending perfectly a positive ending that is..

@@01antagonist a positive ending would be great but it would betray the hundreds of chapters proving that a positive ending is unlikely but you think what you want.

@@cymikgaming1266 didn't say a positive ending was likely, just that this specific song evokes triumph or glory in any way shape or form, no happy ending is possible for berserk knowing all that happened to our protagonist, and all that's on the way

@@cymikgaming1266 I mean, hey, Miura said he doesn't want to make a depressing ending, but who knows 😂Although, Berserk is not a story about "oh the world is a messed up place and we need to give up" it's a story of hope. And what could be more hopeful than a good resolution to the story? Not the best one! But a good resolution, like Guts finally being able to rest with Casca til the end of his life would be cool

@@hanielarindel1408 You didn't deem the 1999 one as good? It keeps the good art, good music, and the best of the story arcs. The whole demerit is that it isn't cinema quality animation, but, with Miura's style, that would probably cost way too much for a TV show.

@@illusoryknowledge9307 they had to do it for time, but theres too much stuff missing. the budget also wasnt enough for the god tier art of the manga and i really dislike how they toned down the graphic and disturbing stuff. they absolutely did the best they could wth what they had but it wasnt enough for one of the best pieces of fiction ever imo

Yeah. I think if you stayed completely loyal when making the adaptation, it would not only be too costly, but it would take years upon years (if not decades) to finish. However, I don’t mind the lack of insane detail when it comes to anime. It’s the fact that the arcs and characters in the anime have no emotion (and passion for that matter). @@illusoryknowledge9307

Agreed, it just hits differently - same goes for III, I can't honestly decided which one I like the most. As in relation to the material itself, I like to think that it's the song of Guts' final victory.
