    I never really liked Chopin until now. How beautiful. For me, the piano makes all the difference. It makes me believe all those Victorans might just have really been overcome by the music, though we like to portray such a thing as hyperbolic and ludicrous.

    Takes your breath away, doesn't it!? One instrument. A sound like this! No wonder Liszt was the talk of the town. He knew what he had and he played it for all it was worth!

    What an amateur! He should watch Leslie Howard's video on this piece. This sonata is OK, but too much like 111, ya know?

      But given that this sonata was modeled after 111 (consider the descending dim seventh motif), that's kinda the point…

    Repent and trust in Jesus. Hes the only way. We deserve Hell because weve sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤😊❤😊❤

    Magnifique couple Interprète /piano, belle maîtrise, ce piano à cordes droites donne vraiment de la voix avec beaucoup de chaleur, mais la salle avec ses échos de hall de gare dénature un peu tout çà, dommage l'instrument se suffit largement à lui, même.

      I don't know too much about giving concerts, but once my teacher took the lids off from the two pianos of my school, and then they sounded monstrously loud and powerful, like never before.

    • @AronEdidin
      @AronEdidin Год назад

      I think there's a video by Kris Bezuidenhout somewhere, where he describes the function of the lid for focusing and projecting the sound of a modern Steinway, as opposed to much older pianos like Mozart's Walter (and of course more recent copies). It would be interesting to hear about where an 1859 Erard fits in that regard.

    Là je ne peux que m'incliner : bravo ! L'instrument exceptionnel, la qualité d'exécution et l’interprétation : tout respire F. LISZT ! Je pense que l'on est très proche de ce qu'on pouvait entendre lorsque F. LISZT jouait lui-même. Difficile de réécouter la sonate de F. LISZT sur un piano du 20ème siècle a cordes croisées après avoir été confronté a une telle authenticité !
