After a big rain 2 weeks ago, the Mountain Fork was running red. It used to run green when it ran hard. Have been fishing that area for 50 years and never seen it that color before. Who or what is causing this erosion? Timber cutting? Cabin building? Or a combination?

Great footage! I would kindly like to say that the music is not consistent with a positive video. It would be better used in a documentary about the aftermath of a major disaster. There is nothing tragic about Broken Bow lake at all.

My dad, Tom Weaver, actually built this for Senator Kerr. I was born in 1957. My aunt is still alive & actually remembers him building it. My parents used to take us up there all the time when we lived in Poteau. We plan on making a trip there this spring from Texas. It has been many years since I saw it. My dad was never one to brag so he never mentioned that he was the one that built it.

Oh how I miss those Mountains. Mom and Dad bought a 5 acre tract in the Kiamichi Wilderness way back in the late 70s. Lots of good memories

Went there today. I think they are still clear cutting way too much forest towards Broken Bow. Looked ugly and scraggy.
