Yeah, mine did well for about 7-8 months, but now the bins smell bad and I only saw a few small ones the last time I stirred everything and added food and water. Not sure what happened. I will probably dump everyting on my compost, unless I see some new ones this week. Good luck!

Thanks so much for replying. :-) I think you're right.. I had too much nitrogen. I put a bunch of coffee grounds in there. I don't think I should have done that. I just spent the last 2.5 hours rescuing the worms and putting in new bedding. I'll check on them tomorrow, hopefully they'll be happier. I just gotta stem the mutinyyy! lol :-) blasted rebels!

Yes, they seem to be doing well, but I kept them indoors over the winter. If they are trying to get out, something is wrong with the bedding, either too wet or maybe too hot if in a compost with too much nitrogen. I did see one trying to climb out the other day when I was feeding, but he must just be the rebel in the group!

How did this work out? Did the worms finally settle down? I just received my worms about a week ago and they're trying to escape, climbing up!
