Oh man ,,,those were the good old days we worked our asses off for a paycheck.. I only got to see cable logs fly a couple of times . But got back into oil industry again
On your comment about needing new aircleaners, is that it sounds like you never have worked where the temperature gets below freezing, as the smoke that you think is oil smoke, is actually steam from the exhausts is steam vapor from the really cold air temperature mixing with the heat from the engine exhaust, causing the what you thought was smoke, but steam, just like if it gets cold where you are from, and exhale air from your mouth, and you see the vapor from your warm lung air nixing with the cold air, and giving the look of smoke.

you're the truck driver. Take what you get or go home. I do my best to load a straight neat load in 15 minutes or less including hooking up and ticket, but I get sick and tired of truck drivers. They are some of nastiest most whiny jerks I've ever met
I hauled all over the country and even in alaska a lot in the off highway trucks. It would be snowing hard and everyone hollering at me to put your chains on get the iron blah blah blah. I'd come back with if you need iron, its to get out of trouble with, not in trouble! I put more iron on my trailer than ever on the truck!! I never let other driver do my driving for me cause I had enough trouble just getting out of their way. I hauled where we pushed snow over the headlights and even then it was hard to get out and put iron on. They would make us wear it in winters on the peninsula and the cops stopping us if we were not so one day I told this cop that I could stop quicker than he could and he had chains on his patrol car. So off we go and we are picking up some decent speed and then he hollers on his radio STOP!!! So I did and he slide in to the back of my truck and he was the only one with chains on... he left me alone after that. I had fast loaders, and loaders that always loaded side heavy but one stand out.. R.D. Johnson, he could throw a load on you afore you could eat a sandwich. And you were up on each end, hardly ever get him to move one ahead or back. He was good and he was fast and he started with the two line grapples. There would be a log way off the landing and he would spin that loader around and toss those grapples and bingo, he would have that log. I seen him throw them so far that it pulled one line off the drum!!
Funny but when you pull up to get loaded, it doesn't look like much more than a bunk load then they pick through the snow and there is another load setting there yet... I hauled in Powers Ore., and the bridge was a light loads only and if you were heavy, they made you use the railroad bridge to get to the log dump which you could see coming in to town. That bridge must be replaced by now...nice load of snow balls going in to market/LOL
When we were logging and Osha would show up. Boss had told us that when they show up on the job site to just shut everything down drop everything and go sit in your trucks till they leave. Don't do anything or talk to them. When they left we went back to work.
i can listen to that all night that would be the best sleep i get all year since i left the road i have had a tough time sleeping dose anyone else have is problem.

Maybe I spoke too soon cause i didnt see any chains at all on the Mack..
Obviously chained up on your drivers. Was the steer chained up too cause you were gettin it pretty good..
looks like a good day to be working in the mountains. enjoyed the video and mountain view
I'm thinking the truck might need a new air filter or run the rack or both choke choke

The road looks well maintained...can't be Northern Manitoba...
Thank god for helilogging! Should be the path forward!
Cummins ! <3
From the comments I see a lot of loader operators here....haha
The loader should be fired .
Nice! Thanks for sharing :-)
does he have a hard time getting in his truck with balls that big?
I would have been pissed if the loader would have loaded me. Bent the steak , center was sloppy , top log should have been rotated . Sloppy work !

What is the truck?

Good job he didn’t find another truck coming coming the other way.
Did you chain up for that? Good driving I’m in the process of buying my own log truck!!!
If I had would like that I would be rich
You guys should have had a button top
You waste too much time you should be thinking of your next move you're too slow loading truck should have been gone already
I'll tell you something for sure I can load a lot faster than you can you're slow
Prove it
10 minute BS session with the shovel operator lmao !
Operators get paid by the hour. Truck drivers get paid by the load.
Yeah really I was like "hurry up already"
@@billtmarchi4320 that don't mean you stand around and bs
wow should had his logs shorted
chinese fire drill

Not Canada. We don't use 5 axle trucks. Everyone has 7 or more.
It looks like no one thought enough of this truck driving on a snow covered trail to even make a coment
bad operator, I would have sent him home
Show us how you're better
Could be or eastern oregon or washington, Good timber in bad conditions
I think that this driver is going too fast for the droad
