Swathing Crabgrass/ Bring Your Kids to Work Day!!!
U can get a stainless steel sump from abline machine I put one in my 2389
I did not know that. Thank you!
Interesting you talking about the range of the CB's. I did custom harvesting in the 1980s we had Motorola commercial radios. One group would be cutting wheat down in Mississippi and we will be out in Oklahoma cutting and we would get what they call the "skip" and for a period of about 15 minutes we could talk to each other then it would fade away.
Thats awesome! Now we are lucky if they can go across the section!
Who did the math for 508.3 bushel
That would be Larry,
Looks good!!! Love the mùsic!!!
Thank you!!
Maybe the tire doctor from you tube will help you and your tires
I hope so! Sure need a tire sponsor, lol
Nice looking tractor!! Congratulations
Thanks 👍
That's awesome!! Congratulations!
Thank you!!
Which state are you in?
Kansas
@@smallvillefarmer close to Hutch?
Kingman, not too far.
@smallvillefarmer been there and through there quite a few times. I'm in Florida now, but lived about 12 years in Sterling and Hutch. "Smallville" caught my eye, and after seeing the background I knew it had to be Kansas lol. Happy farming!
Thats awesome! Glad you could stop in and check out the channel, hopefully bringing you some good videos of Kansas.
How many tractors do you guys have between all of you on this farm?! I am confused I guess that's a good tractor my first tractor I bought myself on our farm was an Oliver 1850 gas. With a cab. It worked but nothing fancy. But from what I could see around the two different farms I saw a few nice tractors maybe you could do a show of all the equipment.
I've never been around an Oliver, I have a buddy who loves them. That is a great idea for an episode!!!
My first new to me tractor was a 5020 John Deere row crop standard.
5020 Not a bad tractor at all. Cab or no cab?
Nice Ride!
Thanks!
I was about your daughter's age when the teacher told us a goose was 1 , geese were more then 1. Cow was 1, cattle was more then 1. Cows was not a word! Put a few moth balls in the cab the mice and rats will leave!
I will do that, thanks.
How come, I wasn’t invited
They almost didn't invite me lol!
Lol
Congratulations!!!
Thank you!!
Thats life whit old machines… i feel you!! 😅
At least you don't have to drill in rock.
True, just tons of sand.
Nice! Nothing like a nice spring burn. Fire sure gets rid of the unwanted. We have irrigation ditches that we burn. What was your purpose in burning?
Pasture maintenance. Burning off small trees, dead grass and stickers.
Have you ever used a silage fork for what it was made for?
No, we cant afford to grow silage. lol It does make one good grass fire starting fork though.
How close is your farm to the Ninnescah river?
Not very close our farm is about 12miles away, at the closest point.
Very cool! Love the drone!
Thanks 👍
Go eagles 🦅

Congratulations papa!
Thank you!
Praying for your baby and your family.
Thank you!
🙏
Thank you!
Did you ever find a new Combine yet? Good luck on your search. The auger wagon will help a lot. That's one thing we never got during my time of farming. About the only thing we never had. I'm so sorry for your trouble. I will pray for Abby and will hope you can all be together soon. Take good care of your Precious little baby enjoy.they are so fun to raise. You already know that don't you. Have a great planting season
I'm still looking for that deal on a 2388 or 2188 combine. Thank you so much for your kind words. Kids are a blast I love all my girls and can't wait for Abbie to come soon!

Cute!
Thank you!
Sounds like it was a mistake from long ago when they decided to destroy the land with the use of chemicals. I imagine with such little logical ability they will continue making these mistakes even after being told that what they are doing is wrong, completely ignoring the much cheaper and better options available such as natural/organic.
I am sure, preach it!
@@smallvillefarmer No preaching necessary. Just good advice to always follow common sense in all situations. Try to do better there.
Nice set up.
Thanks!
Ok so if you live in Kansas the ultimate question is do you like ku or ksu
Any Kansas team VS another state, but during a Sunflower Showdown.......Kstate!!!
Heck ya
What is the cost of the deck build
Close to $3500, that doesn't count all my labor hours. lol
Don't fix the heater. Your wife will drive it when her's is out of fuel
I like that! lol
Spent alot of hours in 2388's. Biggest problems was sieve frame braking and the air cleaner aspirator plugging up. Ran a 36' draper on a 2006 model. In modest crops handled it well but it was front heavy. Practically identical to a 1480 so many parts will interchange. Sieves were lengthened in late 1680's and newer with the cross flow rather than paddle fan. Hydraulic header reverser was better than the electric one on earlier machines.
Thank you so much for your feedback. Very good information and ill double check the sieve frame on the next one I look at.
2388 are good combines but I would go with a 2588 you can get one less than 80.00$
I don't know if the wife will let me spend that kind of money. lol
@@smallvillefarmer it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission lol
I had a 2388 ran it for years traded up to 2588 had it for five years and have been running a 7088 for last 12 years they are all great machines
Thanks for the info! Maybe one day I can work my way up to a 7088!
9770sts JD
Might not be able to afford green paint lol. My youngest brother runs JD and swears they are the best machines.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I agree 2388 is the way to go they were the best combines ever made.
Thanks! I can't wait to try one out.
I look for a 9650sts
My brother runs John Deere and says they're 10x better than case.
I think it’s 1688 would be good 2388’s good too good thing is you’re not too far from Cooks or Mike’s salvage
Very true! Been to Mike's salvage a couple of times. lol
Buy a silver the best s 77 will do you could park Joe's put him back in care home
That's great! lol Yeah Joe and Larry have connecting rooms at the nursing home!
You work hard everyday so You should buy whatever you want😉
Ill tell Chelsea what you said!
Green= Best.
I don't know about that.
Catie bring me some doughnuts!
Same!
