Been waiting on video for long time. I live in Florida and i was a trophy hunter too. The 12 lb u caught out of orange lake looked just like my biggest fish also a 12 i caught back in 1999 in the middle of the day in the hot summer. Love ur videos

I subbed to ur channel a while back too after watching all the big fish videos. I also liked the video of the deepest lake in Florida I think it was sont remember the name of video. I used to fish old sand pit lakes in Volusia county there was 15+ pounders in them. Never got one that big justed hooked a couple. But they were real deep like 100 ft. But they built apartments around them and messed them up. Shitty stuff they do have a good day

I have been down with my back. Had 5 surgeries one of which was an emergency surgery. The 1st 3 we’re supposed to be minimal evasive but was everything but minimal. Now I have to do 2 more for a fusion. 2.5 years so far . Basically had to learn how to walk all over. Thanks for asking

I’m a member of trophy catch and submitted over 30-40 trophies a year along with measurements and videos and it seems your the only one that has a problem with it. Let me ask you something what makes you such a professional to make such a rude comment
Mr Old Nuts. The fish first eats the bait at 47 seconds. Then the hook set happens approximately 1:51. I understand it’s wrapped. But it’s wrapped intentionally freespooling a shiner through pads. It may have been “snarky “ but my comment was due more to that style of fishing being very VERY bad for the fish and some what likely to kill it.
It’s possible you’ve killed a lot of your big catches. Possible

@@dzoldnuts Yeah, Melbourne has always been a pretty peaceful, laid back town. Getting a little crowded now though. Not sure what ya mean about videos, I never did any myself. Maybe you're thinking of someone else? I've had to put my bass fishing on hold, to look after my mom, she's 80 now, and not doing so good. I just had to take off work today to stay home with her. She's been living with me. Between that and still working full time ( I'm 61 ), I can't fish like I really want to. I got to guide a friend on his new boat and his uncle all the way from Alaska here on the Stick Marsh. I warned them that high winds & dirty water will call for slow fishing. We used live wild shiners and lures. Caught 27 fish, nothing big. His uncle got the biggest at 5.5 lbs. He swore that was the best day of largemouth bass fishing he ever had, so that made me feel good. I told him for this place on a scale of 1 to 10, it was about a 3, lol. I saw ya mentioned that your back is giving ya problems. Sure hope ya heal up soon & able to get back out there to catch more trophies. I really miss your videos. You and C.C. Corey have the best trophy bass fishing on youtube, hands down. Take care my friend.
Is that lake any decent for artificial lures? Was planning on going and maybe punching the pads or the mats if it has any. What techniques would you recommend if you were out there using only artificial?
Think you may be better off with artificial than shiners on that lake

Beautiful fish! Great job catching it. Holding it like that by the lip for so long is not good for such a heavy bass. They are not designed to hang like that. Would like to see bass anglers handle these beauties with more reverence. She may not have survived. First put it in a big livewell while you prepare the proper scale and then do what needs to be done fast is the way to go, or just be more ready and faster I think. Doug Hannon the legend bass angler does a great job handling bass. Gotta be ready to handle a big bass. If not then at least hold it sideways and give it some water so it can breathe. I hope it was ok.
Notice in the video you will see there are several breaks in the video where the bass is put in the live well and hanging from the lip strait is accessible handling practices and hand under the belly for a side view is what I do. I suggest you look on www.trophycatchflorida.com for best handling procedures. I’ve have caught probably hundreds of trophies in my lifetime and all swam away alive and healthy and never lost one.

The massive monetary deflation we have in our current system is caused bt the lack of pristine collateral and insane levels of what the industry calls rehypothethication (security lending fraud - lending out the same collateral to multiple players) to justify margin / credit expansion.
