How to Take Your Stanley Tumbler Lid Apart for Complete Cleaning - Take 2
Просмотров 59 тыс.11 месяцев назад
This is a new video of how to completely clean your Stanley tumbler. In my previous video, I removed the teeny tiny ring underneath the middle section of the lid. I left that part out of this video, because it is very fragile and breaks easily. Just check occasionally to make sure it is clean. I also added removing the top rubber portion that covers the straw opening for complete cleaning.

🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🛷🛷🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚘🚘🚘🗼🗼🗼DO NOT TAKE THE RUBBER OFF!!!!! I TOOK IT OFF AND TRIED TO PUT IT BACK BUT NOW MY STANDLY WON’T CLOSE!!!!!! 🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🛷🛷🛷🛷🛷
Unless you turn your cup upside down, the rubber around the lid is not essential. I leave mine off most of the time. My daughter, however uses hers and hasn’t had any problems with getting it back on. The biggest thing you want to avoid is mold underneath the seal. It can make you very sick. So sorry you’re having trouble.
Hi Karen --- Thanks for the longer video. I can take it apart, but not so much putting the top rubber portion back together. I also use pliers to squeeze the middle piece together to get it off. I don't think Stanley's are worth going through the lid cleaning to keep it safe. It hurts my old hands. 🤨 I'll have to bookmark this video to show me again how to do it. These aren't designed for easy cleaning, but I do so appreciate your time to show the process. 🙂
@@snickers2877 thanks so much for watching! It certainly does require some effort!
I just wanted to know if the lid was easy to clean before wasting my money. Thx!
Thanks for watching!
omg i willake avideo amd show all the parts she missed and its a lifesaver
How does the silicone face to go back into place
@@b_a6 the ring? You’ll need to put the fatter part at the top. Honestly, I usually just leave mine off because it’s easier to open and close. I don’t turn mine upside down, so I don’t have to worry about leaks.
Thank you for this because I wasn’t sure if the plastic part on top of the cup could pop off and I need to clean it🩷
Is mine supposed to be wobbly and bits of water leak from it when turned upside down? I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that or if you cam tighten it 😣
I don't think so. I really never turn mine upside down though because I typically leave the large rubber ring off of my lid. I know some people like it though...like my children. I don't like to have to try to get it adjusted just right for the lid to close tightly. I'm sure that really makes it not be leakproof, but I don't ever turn mine upside down. I'm sorry you're having trouble! I don't think these cups are designed to be as leakproof as a water bottle that closes completely with an internal straw. I use a 24 ounce Owala when I have to throw my water in my bag. Best wishes!
@KarenCarnes Tysm! Sorry for late reply 😅. Whenever I tilt my 30 oz slightly it leaks from the middle hole and it does get annoying at times. Thanks for trying to help though ❤️
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW DO WE CLOSE THIS BOTTLE SO THAT WE CAN TRANSPORT IT WITHOUT SPILLING THE WATER?? THANK YOU GUYS!!
Hi! I really don't know if that is possible with these cups. I typically use my 24 oz. Owala bottle with an internal straw when I have to throw my water in my backpack. I don't trust this type of cup to not spill. I use these in my car and at home. So sorry! Maybe someone else can tell you how to use it so that it is spill proof.
Found it nearly impossible to fit the rubber straw holder component back together!!!! 2:12
@@andreamolyneux1091 can I help you in any way? More explanation maybe? I’m sorry you struggled! They are difficult to maneuver, but I wanted to share to try to help others once I understood how to disassemble for cleaning.
1:47 How the hell do you just press down on it like that? Mine doesn't fit in, I have to use excessive force to get just one of the ends in, but dunno have to get the other end in.
Press in on the extension posts at the same time, so that they will become smaller than the hole. I'm assuming you're referring to the extension posts.
My tabs broke the first and only time i did this on my starbucks pink one 😭
Oh no! I'm so sorry. That sounds like your lid might have been defective. We have a total of 5 Stanley cups in our home and we've never had a problem with tabs breaking. Did you push in on the tabs to get them in and out of the hole?
You’re such a lifesaver thank you so much. My Stanley was literally stuck and I couldn’t get it open.
❤❤❤❤
@@ToniIngram-tc8yp I’m so glad I could help!! ❤️
I just wish I could get the lid off my mug. I've tried soaking it and freezing it.
Nah because your a life saver because if I did not have this fix my 5:00 pm my mom man I would have been cooked
This is so hard, I cannot do it event with the video
Which part are you having trouble with?
Thank you! There’s still one more part you can take out; the silicone piece that holds the straw in place..
Yes! I actually realized that after I made this video and I posted another video. Thanks for watching!

@@Carol-qx8cj thanks so much!
Thank you!!

Fixed it 🎉
Great news!
Thank you for the help
So glad I could help!
Oh my God thank you I almost just broke my fingers trying to open it, but I couldn’t get it open because like I thought I saw a mold because I never knew how to take it off to clean it so like thank you because now I’m gonna clean all of my Stanley
I'm so glad I could help. Best wishes!
I needed this because I was struggling
I'm so glad it helped!
I found a Stanley tumbler at my job; glad I did because I wasn’t gonna BUY one. I threw away the straw (gross-wasn’t gonna use that!), took off and broke down the lid, and basically treated the whole thing like it was a biohazard, lol. Boiled it in a pot with bleach and soap, scrubbed it to death then boiling soapy water again. It’s cleaner than it was when it left the factory. 😂
Completely awesome!
I can't use mine, I pulled the straw out because I don't like them and it screwed up the lid.
I'm so sorry!
Which way does the silicone lid seal go back on
With the fatter part at the top. I honestly leave mine off most of the time because it's just easier. If you leave it off, it won't be leakproof though if you plan on turning your cup upside down or leaning it over. I haven't had any problems with leaving it off. Best wishes!
Fuckin speaking would help . Or are you a mute?
This woman is a half wit.
Is there no talking or sound on this idiots video?
Para mama
Gracias
This was really helpful because I had got the the top part of the Stanley, so like the rubber part that’s on the arms Stanley thing I don’t know how to explain. I got that I took, took it off by mistake because I was trying to clean it and I did not know how to get it back on and I was freaking out until I saw this video and I did exactly what you did and it helps so much but it was kind of hard to do it. Thank you.
Im so glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Wow this is so helpful thank so much
Thank you for watching!
thx! now i can eat the ice in my duplacite one :3

Thank you so much you made me figure it out

Glad it was helpful! Check out my new video that shows another part of the lid you can take apart and clean. 😊
Too many pieces… good grief
It is a lot of pieces!
You forgot the rubber piece on the very top where the straw goes.
I know! I didn’t realize it until later! I need to make a new video when I have time. Thank you!
@@KarenCarnes I pulled straw out the wrong way and can't get the little rubber piece back in correctly so I'll just shelve the thing and go back to my YEDI
@@timturner9315 I'm so sorry. I have another video that shows a few more details on taking the lid apart and putting back together if you want to try again.
Thank you, exactly what I was looking for!

This is how i KNOW yall got too much time on your hands ✋️😷
I honestly don't have any extra time on my hands. I made this video to show my daughter, who is away in college how to clean her Stanley. Mold can make you sick and most people don't realize there can be mold in several places of the lid. Thanks for watching!
you just helped me fixs my stanley
This really helped me thanks ❤
Hi! Thanks for watching and check out my new video to see another part of the lid you can take apart and clean. 😊
man idk how to open the cup 😭
I'm sorry. Can I help you in any way?
Life saver!!!
I would like to see you put back the large ring. I can’t get it on correctly. You didn’t show it in the video…
Sorry! I honestly leave mine off because the seal is too strong and I can’t get my lid off without help. I haven’t had any problems with leakage when I leave it off.
Same i dnt know which way it's supposed to go 🤦🏻♀️
I was also hoping to find how to put the large ring back on 😢 I’ve had no luck so far
@@nessaros8808did you ever figure it out? I haven’t had luck finding information on it
@@allisonpleitez7188i had this problem too but i think i figured it out! its kinda hard to explain typing but the flat part goes on the top and the open flap things go on the side so one is facing the lid and one faces out. i hope this helped!!
