Anyway to update the firmware coming?
Is the effect caused by the rotational drag on angled driveshafts?
@@-1-2-1- hello, as you can see in some of the pictures in the video, the bind of the drive shaft is what makes the difference under load. That means diving into the corner and exiting the corner.
Great video, I got a Nitride a few months ago- moving from Hobbywing XR10. Had I known that the Oxide had drift specific settings I woulda waited!
are the savox better or is it because you are sponsored you like them?
Hello, I chose the brand because of the quality and reliability. The servos last very long without any excesive play and provide the characteristics I need for good results in all of my cars.
what's the main difference between the 23 and 24 models?
Hello, the 2024 XB8 has more flex and shorter chassis to generate more grip and rotation, included Alu rear tower for more stability, new shock caps that allow you to run either emulsion or bladder type.
Is there an aluminium one for dirt?
Hello, what exactly do you mean one for dirt? If you mean the "high" hub, then yes, that one is also available in alu. Basically both, the "low" and "high" hubs are available in Medium, Graphite and Alu.
@@maxgotzlrc2266 Thank you It wasn't shown in the video so I assumed what you showed was all that was all the options available. I will have a look for it.
AI Aussie accent?
seven point! (for volts!)
Thinking of buying a xray.. but unlike most buggies.they change models every year which to me means less parts produced for every model. what do you think?
Hello, even though there is a new model coming out every year, it is mainly because we try to improve and bring something better with each edition, but the "older" models are still perfectly usable, or easy to upgrade to the new parts, unless there are some bigger improvements. There is generally no problem with having less parts produced, should be in stock anywhere!
All of these videos have been very helpful. Trying to learn my way through esc settings in general and everything seems applicable. Could not resist and my Oxide showed up yesterday and the car is on order. It looks and feels very nice, even the packaging is great. I would not have made that decision without these videos so thank you.
@@tomconnors8165 hello, that is great to hear, thank you. I hope you enjoy your new ESC! 💪
I have the Nitride which I just purchased. Can the NItride be used for drifting?
@@dmanalang9037 hello, it can for sure be used for drifting, as many users already did in the past! The Oxide is coming with some more features to make the experience even better, but doesn’t mean the Nitride can’t be used for that.
We need to seriously see the car upclose and not 5 feet away...
Hi Max, could you please make a video about a good cable routing of the xb8E? Greetings
Nice straight forward video, thanks
What kind of wing is that
@@RyderT-dq4qf XRAY lexan 1/8 Wing, which can be found under PN: #353512
@@maxgotzlrc2266 ok,nice car though,keep it up,and is that the xb8n 24?
@@RyderT-dq4qf thank you! Yes, it is the Nitro XB8’24 👍
When would you want to use either -3* or +3* kick up? What affect does that have on the car/truck?
@@HookedUpRacing2024 more kick-up provides the car with more low speed steering and more high speed stability. The opposite will be noticed with less kick-up.
Thanks! One more question on this topic - will changing the hub inserts from 2.5* to 5.0* have similar results? Or does the arm itself need to move?
@@HookedUpRacing2024 this will have a similar influence too on the 2wd cars
Is this the best car for 2024?
@@MX-CO the ‘24 XB2 has been the biggest upgrade in our platform so far, so I would say so 😎
@maxgotzlrc2266 every one at pur local track has an rc10b7, I want to try something different but I don't want to be at a disadvantage
@@MX-CO I do not think you’d be in a disadvantage. So far the car has been pretty good to set up, but you can always hit up our team drivers at your area, depending where are you from and get help with fine tuning the car!
Slicks ?
@@peterpirolt6997 yes, too many battery packs on that set of tires, but still worked well 😎
Are the Hall settings locked in blinky mode
@@starlinggibson4117 if you change the hall angle setting, the blinky mode turns off. Better say, it does not show on the screen “Blinky” anymore, therefore is not allowed to be used in stock racing.
👍👍 NOT made in China! ❤️🙏
What is the motor limit?
Awesome Video but a few days late😄. Unboxed mine on Wednesday and used it first time on Friday. Easy to use and reliable Speedo. At the moment it is installed in my Stock 2wd Buggy with a 13.5t Motor. Testing on Friday and a Race on Sunday without any issues. 👍 I am looking forward to see more content about this controller.
Is there a toe chart for the 1 degree block like there is for the 3 degree block in the manual?
Hello, I don’t think so, altough the toe chart can aply to the 1° block, just subtract 2
Don't have a question about the Arms but why do you run the shock on the shocktower on the lower holes ?
Hey, sorry if I haven’t answered your question also last week in France, but I use the lower holes to make the car more stable.
Just wondering why I have no reading of motor temperature. All is connected, including sensor wire.
Hello, could you give me more info about what motor are you using? It is possible your type does not have a temp sensor and therefore does not support temp monitoring.
ZTW , Ruddog and Fantom. All 6.5 and 7.5
Hezka jizda💪👏👍gopro?
Hi, at the 1st example, you select boost 1 = 10 and boost 2=15. On the diagram I can understand that the boost 2 value is "absolute", means counting from zero, thus the total boost is 15 (not 10+15=25). But, at the 2nd example, boost 1 (10) and boost 2 (10) values are cumulative according to the diagram (10+10 = total 20). I wonder why this difference.
Hello, thank you for the question. I have made a mistake on the setting and that’s why I corrected my talk with a little note in the video saying “*Double value”. What I meant to show was Boost1 at 10 and Boost2 at 20.
Very helpful information, thank you
How about the 2,0mm chassis? It's just too expensive to buy and try out..
@@tek00732882 hello, sorry for my late reply. The 2mm chassis gives more flex and therefore generates more grip. When you run on lower grip or bumpy condition, the 2mm is a very good option for more generated grip and performance.
Thanks a lot : very clear and informative vidéo ! I'm currently waiting for my Elceram Esc and my new car also : checkin tracking every hour 🙂
Love your vids keep going mate 🎉
Thanks Max these videos are gold. Very good information.🙏👍
Very well explained, thank you!
You mentioned that you cannot use the kit pills with the 1degree block which ones can you use then?
You cannot use the same settings, because the D block is narrower compare to the kit one. If you used the same inserts as on the kit one (lets say outside on the C block and inside on the D block), you would actually get toe-out on the rear suspension, which is not desired.
Oh okay I thought you meant eh pills them self were different
could you recomend the short chassi option for a xb2-22 im using the kit one right now but got an idea to use the short chassie to move the gearbox forward and move rear hubs back in the arms to keep the overal wheelbase the same as kit version but the weight of motor and gearbox more forward in the car to make it rotate more free in the back as the car is used for carpet and high traction astro.
yes, this can be a good option if you run on high grip. Keep in mind, that the 2024 car has different chassis compare to the the '22
need to get that carbon motor mount it looks sweet. what might the weight savin be in grams compared to the alu ones?
Need to improve volume in future videos, please.
Can you do a video on the 1deg D block, what it does and when to use it.thank you
Thanks, it can be hard for people new to setup to understand the difference between high and low and how these changes affect roll center.
What setupboard is this?
I use the HUDY setup boards for all of my classes.

Hi, thats nice driving. Please, what pinion/gear and motor are installed?.
Hi, I am still using 23t/78t (pinion/spur gear) with a 6,5T motor, that seems to be the optimal setup for most carpet tracks for me. ;)
Excellent driving, would you share any of your setup specs? caster camber etc f/r
Do these need a sauce to work?
no no sauce needed.
Do these need a sauce compound to work properly
no they work great just as is and most of the time got a longer runntime then regular rubber tires like cactus. just that the pinion sometimes need to be changed a tooth up or down to keep the rollout as tires get worn out.
I just got my self a set of buggy foam tires. I am currently trying to figure out if the tire in the front needs to be wide ore narrow. How are you running it? I am not able to figure it out from the video.
in front use wide rims for the foams and for me i prefere to grind down the inner ribbs on the rim both front and back as well as the innerside shoulder of the rim (leave the outside edge to protect tires from hitting track markers) to max out the wideness of the tire and make the inside part of the tire to be more in contact with the ground rather then during heavy loading tuck he tires and start to ride on the edge of the rim.
