A few notes here: - Trauma Spike is actually in this deck specifically as a counter to Herald decks. And also combo decks like Podwatcher, and also it incidentally won me a match against When the Stars Align control earlier in the GP, but it was the realization of how bad getting Herald of Oblivion Seal the Tombed was when testing Egg Herald against this deck before the GP that tipped me and TEST towards Trauma Spike. Herald decks do have other creatures, but definitely not enough actually good non-Herald threats to force through a win against control. - (I boarded out 2x Simul and 2x Reconsider for Trauma Spike here. Simul's too slow to want against tempo and the tokens don't block any of Amethyst's creatures, and Reconsider is just generically the worst piece of interaction.) - I don't actually want to tutor Corpsebed off Intrepid or Gate of Realms ever. I mean, you can certainly construct circumstances where that's the right play, but generally I want to leave it in my deck so I can fetch it at instant speed, since it's a Swamp. I was very happy to draw it when I did this match though since I kept that hand gambling on drawing a black source (or any third land to find a black source off Gate of Realms), even if that did mean I couldn't use it to snipe Small Luxuries.
