@@ilovevicfuentes No, there's no way this is an actual unused longer version of the song. Because the part where the instruments basically stop and its just 2-Damon and someone else singing, that sounds so much like a live version of the song I've heard that I'm 100% convinced that someone just ripped that audio and spliced it into the album version of the song by stitching it onto the end of the song just before the fade-out, then stitched the last minute or so of the album version onto the end of that, and did a quick little edit to make that effect on the drums at the end. The fact that it's allegedly on one of the 3 different versions of _Sea Sides_ out there doesn't mean it's official. In fact, that kind of lends credence to the idea of this being just a fan edit.
In the early 1970s, KPTV channel 12 in Portland Oregon used the beginning of this recording as theme music for a short afternoon newscast called "Coffee Break News".

I don't think so. Mancini composed this specifically for the "Peter Gunn" episode "Let's Kill Timothy" (Season 1, Episode 17; original air date 1 19 59). It was included in his LP album "More Music from Peter Gunn" (also in the 60's compilation album "The Best of Henry Mancini"). Doubt they would have used it in anything else. (BTW, the "Timothy" of the song and episode title is a trained seal who assists in a jewel heist!).
