Parks and Recreation Month in July is for our families, friends, and people of all ages. An initiative for nearly 40 years by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). Parks and Recreation Month instills a sense of belonging in our community. It promotes a love for the outdoors, making connections, getting outside of our comfort zones, and offers opportunities to Explore, Connect, and Play! It also allows us to recognize our vital, and dedicated recreation professionals, from full-time to part-time, seasonal workers to volunteers. We couldn’t maintain our community parks, trails, and facilities without you!
