WindsweptWheelers
Добавлен 11 сен 2011
We wheel, we compete, we get stuck, we repeat. Just some buddies trying to keep the spirit of old school mud bogging alive.
Beater XJ Cherokee Gets Hood Vents
After some heat soak issues in the woods last weekend, I cobble some hood vents into my XJ Cherokee. Be sure to follow along to watch me bounce this off trees in the coming months!

Windswept Wheelers vol. 8: Overheated and Broken
Просмотров 12 тыс.Месяц назад
We got the boys together for what was supposed to be a promising day until the crowd favorite Ramcharger had fueling issues and everyone else could only wheel until they overheated since it was so dang hot. Windswept Wheelers On The Road: 316 Mud Hop
Просмотров 8274 месяца назад
The boys packed up and hit the road down to Lee Mont, Va to participate in the 316 Mud Hop Hill N’ Hole. Not only was it a challenging track to drive, but it was challenging to film as well. The wind didn’t help things and we ended up going home with some breakage. #ramcharger #mudracing #mudbogging

First to like 👍 sick ramcharger!!
Thanks! 👍
some the front end is not workingfor someunkown reason but do love mud runs
Cool set up. I’ve been piecing together stuff like this for years. It’s a lotta fun to build it your way. One thing I’ve learned is although we always want more power that breaks a lotta parts!! looks like you have the power matched up pretty damn good right now. MOPAR2YA 😎
Yo dumb shift up then you can get the pond people are so dumb when they drive in the mud
Bring them bad boys to wellsville Ohio.
Glad to see so many badland winches; They must be really good! Loved this video bro!
We torture test them for sure! The wireless remotes are a must have as well.
im 65 live in deep south havent seen a dirt road in 30 years we used to have them everywhere then our population grew by 40% ( from outsiders mainly city people ) first thing they did is paved all gravel and dirt roads and turned farm land into subdivisons and high dollor homes and if they see someone liveing country way haveing fun they calling the police its so bad there was no place to go mudding ( we used to have around 20 places ) anyway a friend had 20 acers he decided not to farm any more half was woods and low land so it stayed muddy and he said go mudding any time you want that lasted 2 weeks untill city people started crying mud was falling off our trucks on the road as we got on the paved black top and had the police fine anyone with a muddy truck said we were creating a road hazard / mudding and rideing back roads use to be a way of life STOP BIG CITYING MY COUNTRY LIFE
It’s happening up here in central Jersey too! Damn shame
@@WindsweptWheelers like i said im 65 and i still got my 78 blazer on 44 i built 35 years ago( i have had it so long people nick named me johnny blaze ) i drive a little every month ( letting them sit is hard on them ) sometime ill drive to the local wal mart or what ever and there is always someone seeing an old guy with grey hair driveing a super loud monster asking your kinda old to be driveing that thing WHY would you own a truck like that i just simile and say if you gota ask you wouldnt understand

Bro in the 80s we thought we had monster trucks when we had 35s
We’re still trying to keep the 80s wheeling spirit alive!

Big rigs 💪
Man I love to see old classic trucks go all out like that.👍💪💯
You and me both!
Yes
Were those trails flooded out recently? Anyways, kickass rigs!!
It changes with the seasons. It’s been very dry recently but during the wet months, you could call it flooded
I see that u guys have jersey plates. What part of jersey are u guys base out of
The middle
Guy in cj7 has no idea how to wheel
Wheeled with fuel injection my whole life and I’m about to go carb for the first time. Does the Ramcharger have an issue with bouncing and angles because of the carb?
I got the TBI set up on mine it has no problem at all on hill climbs rough areas no problem
Check out our other videos to see how the ramcharger typically performs. Carb was dirty here which hurt it all day, but when it’s clean, it rips regardless of the angle. I wouldn’t be scared of wheeling like this with a carb at all
@@BAMFramcharger4x4 Gotcha, yes, Ive seen all the videos. This is my favorite youtube old school wheelin channel.
@@xdailybronclove to hear it! Ramcharger will be racing at bloomsburg 4 wheel jambo this Saturday. Gave up and put a new carb on last night with a finer filter. Seems to be fixed
@@BAMFramcharger4x4 heading up there tonight for the weekend
Rather humorous at 14:40 you aooarently hit your blinker and then had the presence of mind to turn it off when you noticed it blinking. 😄
What motor and transmissions do the Broncos have?
Both small block based!
How about the transmissions and transfer cases?
@@Mike-xn1bh the green one is a 4 speed and I think it has a chain reaction case. The red one is an automatic, probably a c6 and I think that also has a chain reaction case
@@WindsweptWheelers don’t mean to bombard you with questions. I have a 1994 Bronco myself and am swapping in 2.5 tons. Debating if I should upgrade to a 460 or stoke out the 351w to 408.
@@Mike-xn1bh all good man, happy to chat! I like my big blocks, but a high revving small block could really be the ticket with 2.5 tons. My brown Ford has a mild big block in it and it’s not super impressive. I built a 514 for it but I sold it to put money into another project.
Gosh o mighty Son,...loved it thanx for sharing,...dave in NC🙂
4x2 bronco was just funny
Front ring and pinion left the chat!
hay stupid where is your safety gear
That Chevy looked more tired as the video went on 😂
Supposedly it was just a stock 350 to get the truck out in the woods after the last one blew up. I think there’s another big motor on the way though!
Android users just don't like 11 year old Chinese kids working slave labor to produce an item for us.
What transmission and transfer case are u using
Check out the walk around video on my channel, the owner lists all the specs of the truck!
Man that chevy sounds like its on its last leg. Dont even have the power to turn those tires. Now that ram charger. Dude has a great set up and the tires to do it unlike most of the ford guys
The fella with the Chevy blew up his 400 last year and threw a stock 350 in it just to get back out in the woods. Hes building a cooler motor over the winter. But yes, the dodge is everyone’s favorite
Hell yeah !
Thanks for watching!
Fun time ,MOPAR or no car lol
Love the ramcharger
Chevy suck water? She’s running a little rough 😅
Right? I thought that was a Ford thing 😂
Reminds me of the misfits4x4 land I use to go to.
Nice build, pretty similar to mine, it’s a85 Ramcharger, I put a 440 from a Chrysler 300, board shaved the heads, port and polished heads, cam 870 dual feed double pumper, skyjacker 6” springs and 3” body lift, running 42” swampers, 513 gears in 3/4 ton axels, 4 speed, stock transfer case, dual 2 1/2” pipes, big tube headers, home made winch bumper, 12,000 lbs winch, was wondering what size you’re running on yours
We all run pretty much the same Badlands 12k winch and they hold up well
@@WindsweptWheelers I run badlands 12,000 also, my first winch was 8,000 warm old drum wrap brake, that one broke 3/8” winch line, and would drag a 8,000 lbs truck no problem, but I feed. It welding cables, and 2 1,000 amp batteries
She’s a beast 🐏🐏🐏
Cool ride man! Have a 92 and an 86, the 86 has a 75 440 motorhome engine I built for torque, the 92 is a 5.2 MPI and has a perfect body and interior. My 86 is my daily driver.
Nothing but American muscle💯
Sound good
I was there and saw that happen and I thought he was going to die
NO
nice beast love the use of donner parts out off moparts
By far the coolest wheeler on your channel
