why not ring into some city space, like carthag, to lock jessica at a discount? Around 14:07
Good question ~ two reasons. 1) I forgot that as Helena I have the ability to share City spaces. 2) My mindset at the moment was so set on getting Lady Jessica I simply jumped the gun without thinking through every option. That said, you're absolutely correct that would have been a better move and I could have stored away a troop and intrigue card for later. Definitely a missed opportunity.

This game has a design problem: active games are only your active games. The main use is async games, or live games where you had a connection issue and you have to try rejoining. You can't see any current activity. So it often looks even deader than it is. That's on top of the many bugs. I played a lot of hours, the board game itself is fun... but they're poor at responding to feedback and haven't done an update for months now. And when it looks like nobody is playing, even if 10 games are running, and the game fails to start and you're forced to restart... yeesh. P.S. I recommend cranking your friend's audio. 17:47 As long as you want between 0 and 2. You can even take 2 keys to prevent anyone else buying one.
Music is way too loud
A very relatable interview of one of the many excellent Dune imperium players. Listening to him describe the way he started out and that he's not infallable , I actually got encouragement from that. Hope to encounter him in the DW digital version, if i haven't already. - Dortor
Actually, I have been in a match or two with Admiral, come to think of it.
Greetings Admiral, from a fellow Portland gamer and Dune: Imperium lover! I love your videos and I've learned a lot about D:I from watching you play. You got a sweet set-up and all the lights and special units and accessories make the playing space super visible, and your explanations are always really complete and clear. It's super entertaining too! I just noticed a few places where how you seemed to be playing didn't match the rules as I understood them. I wanted to comment to see if maybe I was the one misinterpreting the rules, or if you were playing with house rules, or you'd customized nerfing/buffing for better gameplay, or whatever. I'm not saying these to criticize or troll, I promise! (These may have come up in a different video than the one I'm commenting on. I've lost track because I've watched a lot of the videos! But I haven't watched them all, so if a later video contradicts what I'm saying, then my apologies!) In one of the videos, I believe you say that if you fall below 2 influence on an Influence Track, you keep the victory point, but I think this is not the case, and in fact you lose the VP if you fall below two influence. (D:I rulebook page 7: "If you drop back below 2 Influence, you lose that Victory Point.") In one video, I think you say that, when playing with Ix, Rivals don't trade in 7 spice for a VP and instead save them for tech. This is true for part of the game, but once you reach the Conflict III cards, the Rivals instead spend seven spice for a victory point. (Ix rulebook page 9: "A Rival will hoard spice for Tech tiles; they will not spend 7 spice for a Victory Point unless the current Conflict card is a Conflict III card.") I also think you either said you give, or were giving, Rivals the resource/card/troop bonus for reaching 4 on an Influence Track, but I think the Rivals only get the VP and alliance token if available, but don't get not the track bonus. (D:I rulebook, "House Hagal Cards" page: "The Rival advances on the indicated Influence track. It earns no bonuses from an Influence track, but it will take a Faction Alliance if able.") Lastly, you said in one video if I remember that a Rival essentially gets an automatic VP from advancing up and then recalling on the Shipping Track because it gets them 8 Solari, and they then trade in 7 Solari for a victory point. But I don't see a rule about 8 Solari, only that Rivals always choose dividends, giving them just 5 Solari, although if they got to those five by going to Smuggling twice, that would give them 2 more spice for 5+1+1=7 Solari total. (Ix rulebook page 8: "It always chooses Dividends (not spice) as its reward for the first space-gaining 5 Solari (in a solo game) while all other players gain 1 Solari. Rivals in a solo game gain 1 Solari from Dividends whenever another player chooses it (a human or a Rival).") I really mean it when I say I'm not writing this to criticize or come after you :) ! You know a lot more about the game than I do--I have a hard time winning even just at the one-played Sardaukar level--so I just wanted to check in to make sure I understood it all, and possibly also help make your awesome videos even better. Thanks!
Did you consider screen captioning software like other streamers?
@@davidgabriel5446 Unfortunately, at the moment, my computer is broken and I'm saving money now for a new one including an entire mini studio for this channel. I have big plans but I'm stuck with using only my phone for the time being. I assure you, this channel is going to be so much better when its all up and running.
Great interview guys keep up the good work
@@DenDen-jk8kt TYSM I really appreciate your comment.
@@Admiral_Trench_CIS by the way Admiral if you've ever played on tabletop simulator that is where the majority of the best players are housed in my opinion. The majority of the Mr Beast invites came from. If you're ever interested in playing digital or on table top let me know. I will invite you to the discord of veterans If that piques your interest
Any chance you could add chapters on this?
@@rampageidc Not at present time, sorry for the inconvenience. However, when I have my new computer ~ future content will be edited with chapters.
I like Dune.
Hi Brandon, and Hi Admiral Trench; really enjoyed the interview guys. I'm a pretty big dune fan myself, my online alias being Lannister05.
Wow!!! That BOARD is doped as 🔥🔥🔥
Booooo!! You suck!! Ha ha, just kidding, buddy. Table looks great, just wondering when you're gonna invite me over!
Where did you get this?
@@play_erphil6858 Look for it on etsy.
Did you make that custom board for dune imperium?
@@gamerguyx1337 I wish I could say yes but the answer is no, I bought it from either ebay or etsy. But its a great board. I backed it with plywood so it can hang on my wall when its not in use.
This is very cool!
Yea, I'm pretty excited to get this going and am trying to get as many subscribers as possible now. Any tips to getting more subscribers? Would be greatly appreciated.
Mic sounds better :D But why didn't you screen capture?
Thats an idea I hadn't considered until you just mentioned it. I can tell you that I will definitely do that from now on. Also, I recently got an investor. I'm on vacation now, but when I arrive back home I'll be getting a microphone upgrade. I'll be trying to get things sounding and looking better as fast as possible. I'm pretty excited
You suck!!! This video sucks!!!! Totally kidding, lol
Looking forward for Quality upgrades, and gameplay + tutoriales for the theory of this game
Right on. Can't wait to begin. I only require a few more subscribers and then I can start.
