The past year has been absolutely horrible selling on ebay ! I end up selling on marketplace for much less because of the fees and shipping. It's not profitable at all anymore.

eBay are crooks. They up and up their fees and then add listing fees, taxes and also sometimes you can get hit with an extra import tax from government. All for used items! And people charge an arm and a leg for shipping trying to avoid those fees. I stopped using and selling on eBay a long time ago. I only shop Amazon and sell locally when I really have to. I've had my eBay account since a VERY long time and only used it recently to purchase a camera from Japan that I really wanted. Not worth it anymore as a seller or buyer. Amazon delivers next day, free shipping and free returns.

I'm sorry you're having problems with your business...looks like the boycotts toward any companies that supported dumpster are going into effect.....and now that he has closed Medicare, medicade, all foreign and domestic funding programs, moving on social security today or tomorrow...he loves throwing things out on a weekend.....tariffs start in two days...he has fired thousands of civilian federal employees, the heads of the treasury, the military, the ATC, the IRS ....sorry I can't name every dept of the govt ..but he has fired them alll.....so I'm thinking folks are being a little tight fisted right now. You're in a very big boat with lots of company....

I just started as a way to sell my watch collecting. I have no experience on ebay, but my watches are selling pretty fast. Maybe it's beginner's luck. I'm retired, and doing it just for a little extra cash.

I pulled everything out of my storage unit a few weeks back and split it 3 big lots and sold them off, stuff stored in my house will be put out in a garage sale this spring, my ebay days have been done for a few months, that so called "FB MarketPlace" is an absolute joke and too many weirdos through CraigsList. I started collecting, selling, trading clear back in 1995, 30 years is enough.

It's been pretty slow/Dead for months now ! Everybody is looking to see what the Idiot in the Oval room is going to be up to ! The price of eggs needs to be followed closely .... the price goes down Ebay picks up ! 🤣🤣

I've been on ebay since 2003 . When big government slashed to 600 a yr I quit ..I wasn't a huge seller . But not giving my extra to support their socialism. Hopefully it changes now we will see 🤷‍♂️ 3:48

I used to purchase a lot of items on eBay until about 5 years ago. I now live in Hungary I used to live in the US. My problem is since Brexit anything I purchase that comes from UK incurs an import tax. I used to could search for items here in continental Europe but not sure when but the ability to restrict the search to items has been removed. In my search results recently, I was searching for a new motorcycle helmet from a European dealer or seller and ALL I was getting was UK and American sellers items. So by the time I would purchase from an outside the EU the shipping and import fees would increase the cost by close to 30% above the cost at a local bike shop problem is at least here in Hungary if a shop does not have your size in stock of the model you like they won't order it even if you offer the pay up front. I finally found the helmet I wanted but had to do it thru Amazon Germany and even they often times show outside EU items when you ask them to only show EU items. Seems like eBay customer service or management does not care about customer needs or for that matter seller needs either. I know someone who eBays as a seller and the return/refund policy (chargebacks) against sellers is why a lot of sellers also no longer sell with Ebay. I probably purchased 300+ items thru eBay US and only had one seller that never sent the item so my experience was great.

There is no money left at the end of the bills this year. When eggs cost $10 a dozen at Kroger, you think we have money for eBay?

It's after Christmas when most people have already spent or overspent for Christmas and then extra money right after Christmas at the after Christmas sales. I personally have zero extra income to spend on anything right now. I know a lot of the people I know that used to shop on Ebay now shop on Facebook Marketplace, on Temu and very recently on Amazon Hauls. I only use Ebay now to look for vintage and retro items, people often ask crazy high prices for items now though.

I'm in the UK. And eBay is like a car boot. Or what you call a yard sale. It's such a gamble to get anything not broken. Or just junk. So I won't buy anything from eBay anymore. You just can't send it back. Or it costs to much to send back. I just do amazon. Or go to a store.

I bought something off eBay years ago paid $200 never did get my item never could get ahold of anyone about it. Few years later I bought something else I ended up getting something that had nothing to do with what the product was suppose to be. Again couldn’t get ahold of anyone and never got a response. 3 times after I bought something and never did get anything. I will never ever buy off eBay again. A few friends and family members told me the same stories. Never trust eBay.

I haven't sold anything on Ebay in over a week.

This is also the worst week for me since last summer. My theory is that the recent east coast snowstorm affected things somehow.

I find myself buying more from Mercari and FBM more these days eBay is definitely my last resort ñ.

Look out for Xhand will replace ebay and make selling great again.

My sales have been dead for two weeks. Tried everything.

Resellers must diversify! I'm one of the few percent able to make a living in this business. After uncle Sam, I can barely afford a 2-bedroom apartment and drive a 20-yr old vehicle in mid-west big city. I'm not aware of any other business, where top few percent are living on verge of gov't assistance.

My sales have been great, and even picking up after xmas, which is surprising. Look for patterns in the algorithm.. what it likes to see happening... and you'll get plenty of sales-assuming you are at least priced competively... and i don't mean the lowest price
