very cool!
Kit excelente! Modelo incrível.
I love Herc kits but would not get this due to moeal issues...it's Russian.
Copy that. I bought it well before they invaded Ukraine and…I wanted a -30 version and It’s the only show in town. Slava Ukraini.
When i was in the British army during the early 90s we flew from Raf brizenuton to Nothern Ireland in the Herc remember it was very noisy and the toilet 😂😂😂
G'day John, I say this with the kindest of intentions because what you've got to say and show is definitely worthwhile. Your aircraft knowledge is above average for detailed kit reviews like this one. I like what your aiming for with this video but, unfortunately, the placement of your camera and its sluggish 'automatic' focus makes this a slightly irritating video to sit through. I'd be more than happy to become a subscriber and shoot money your way for some better production standards that don't make me vertiginous. You are, obviously, an Airfix fan, as was I for many years. I've done the three 'V-Force' kits from Airfix and, honestly, I had to do kits from other makers in between the three huge models because one of those kits is 'a lot of Airfix' in one hit. I wouldn't touch a 'Matchbox' aircraft kit of any type. They're great for tiny die-cast cars for little kids but otherwise their kits are rubbish. I was a full-on addict when it came to Airfix (my first ever kits when I was a kid) but they have let themselves slide in the last 10 to 15 years. They still, unfortunately, produce lightweight, flexible plastic in larger kits that need rigidity. Also, over that time I found that I was using filler and putties much more; their overall fitment had its issues, even after they scaled back their moulding in India. Meanwhile, as you would know, Eduard, HKM, Italeri, Tamiya and Sword etc., increased in quality, fit plus paying increasing attention to small details. Right at the moment the New Zealand outfit, Kotare, in my opinion, make the best engineered and best fitting kits on the world market. Their collection of 1/32 Spitfires almost put themselves together. 😉 And they don't come with the large prices that Wingnut Wings kits did when most of the Kotare folks worked for them. I highly recommend that you use metal landing gear for your 'V-bombers', preferably the excellent brass gear from Aerocraft in the UK. They are stronger than the American 'SAC' brand of 'white metal' gear, which can deform slightly, and without the huge US postal charges, the brass Aerocraft gears work out cheaper. The plastic gear that comes in the 'V Force' kits WILL sag a lot sooner than you might think. Basically, this applies, these days, to any large model that needs metal weights in the fuselage. I'm also doing more models posed as if in flight. Using Perspex rods or thin metal rods makes the build of a big aircraft quicker and cheaper. Take a look at Chris Becker's model channel on RUclips; he has lots of innovative ways of doing in-flight models. Anyway, I wouldn't waffle on with these suggestions if I didn't think you and your channel had great potential. I will subscribe now so I can keep an eye on your progress. If you do want to ask your subscribers for assistance, I'll find out immediately. Cheers and all the best, Bill Halliwell
Wonderful feedback Bill. Thanks very much.
Bit more prep before filming would make for a more interesting watch.
very cool!
Have a great build. 🛩
Mk. 3 Lancasters had needle blade propellers, the only difference was Packard engines. Your model looks really nice.
Are you going to build any of these models on camera. there are a lot of builds on You Tube but not many Aust so in my view it would be nice to hear and see an Aust build and comment.
That's gonna be a beauty mate! Looking forward to the interior especially...!
Glad you think so too!
Look forward to seeing the build. Flew in some and refuelled lots but not the J
A kit of the prototype would be nice.
Pleasure working with you for all those years. Regards, Stirlo.
You too, Stirlo. Foremost.
I've still 2 lancs and a Tomcat still unbuilt lol . One of the lancs i bought for 25/30 quid at RAF Leuchars Airshow in 91 ... Just never got round to it making it . Look forward to your next video Was looking at AFK's on there website over the last yr . I can't get over how much kits now cost .. Matchbox decals even back in the 80s were often poor as was the moulds on many occasion .. I thought the artwork on the Hasegawa kits were quality . Good enough to be wall art !!! . On another note I've never fathomed why any of the known Kit makers ever made it possible to offer decals for the Entire Dambusters Sqn . Any DB Bought always a Gibby . Would be nice to have a Dinghy Young , Micky Martin .etc .
Have a great build.
Looks like a cool kit. Good luck.
Clear parts are bad fit. Especially the seperate sides. Very thin decals imo. Valom offers more variants of the Hampden. Among which the Hereford version. I think I have one that comes with a resin torpedo. All in all way better than the jurassic Airfix kit. Not a lot of brands make the Hampden.
Well, from the Navy‘s standpoint, Charles II was a godsent. He‘s the founder of a standing Royal Navy, after all. He built as may ships as Parliament would alow him to do and he even tricked them into spending much more money on the Navy than they had initially intended. If you’re interested, the books „The Master Shipwright's Secrets : How Charles II Built the Restoration Navy“ and „Pepys's Navy: Ships, Men and Warfare“ would be a very good read.
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll seek it out.
Thanks John, excellent for a Camel model that I am working on
Fascinating walkaround of the Sopwith Camel!
I am looking forward to starting this after finishing the f$%^ing Spitfire
Nice review bud :) It looks like a nice kit that one :)
Great review bud. I only have one correction... it's 11am UK time, 2pm is the Monday sessions. Remember your 9 hours ahead :)
Not the first time I’ve confused time-zones and won’t be the last.
@@ScaleModellingTwins I know but, it's all part of your charm :)
I like trains as model kits. Look forward to seeing this built. The Whippet & the Spitfire look very good too.
Greetings Mr. Marley! I have heard both good & bad about Valom. Looks like a nice kit in the box, how it builds will we see 🙂 The decal options are varied and interesting to me, I never knew Sweden & the USSR flew them too. Be seeing you
Thanks Jim. It’s a unique looking aircraft with no room to move inside.
@@ScaleModellingTwins The Hampden is the RAF version of the "Flying Pencil".

“Review a kit in three minutes”. Challenge accepted…and failed.😨
It's harder than it sounds isn't it :)
Hi, JoTiKa were a local company to me here in Worcestershire England. I actually went to the factory and bought their PICKLE kit direct from them. Lovely people running the place and we were shown all of the products and production processes. I think there is probably about 5 employees in total and they were very busy keeping up with demand for their models. They have recently moved to a bigger and more suitable premises in Yorkshire. Nice model by the way.
Awesome jet. I've had the honor to meet Chuck Yeager's nephew , Paul. As a matter of fact , after meeting him at our local American Legion , I built the X-1 and brought it to him. A great honor for me. I'll be watchin. 👍
Fantastic. Thanks Charlie.
You're all in on the SE.5. I bought several extras for their Siemens Schuckert kit a few years ago. It made a cracking model. Frankly I'm impressed this kit has a fully detailed Hiso engine. The Bristol doesn't have a crankcase.
Australian one for me John
Forgot to vote. I prefer the Australian version Mr. Marley HUZZAH!!
Very nice kit John. Is the Eduard photo-etch made of steel and not brass? If you have anneal it, does that process work on steel?
Please hold it steady when describing areas
Sehr sehr schönes Modell. Die Royal Caroline ist auch noch auf meiner Wunschliste. Gruß Mario
Nice video bud, they just keep getting better :)
subscribed but 720p doesn't really do your models justice; higher quality videos would help promote your channel, imo.
I have the Billings boats HMS Victory and have just started building the Caldercraft Victory so always find it fascinating to see the difference between manufacturers kits. The Corel kit looks to be of a decent quality.
Wow that looks great!
Hello again Mr. Marley. I sent my first message at the start of the video, before your explanation of why this was done again. As I recall, the first take seemed ok to me. Anyway, once again mate, awesome & very impressive model!
Is this the same model from earlier in the week? Looks top notch! Definitely looks the part of a Lancaster on operations. Very well done, HUZZAH!!
Sadly there is no complete survivor of this iconic aircraft. Great review thank you 👍
Did Model Craft of Canada make a 1:48th-scale kit of the Dornier D0-17 Flying Pencil Luftwaffe Light Bomber (and prewar passenger airliner)?
Loved that review John, you made a superb job of her. Great to see you improvising on the kit, it's also great that you talk with so much passion about building your ships, and that comes through not just in the video but the quality of the build. Really looking forward to your next adventure upon the High seas. All the best Rob.👍🤺⚓
Very good review John. Nice model, and very well made. Thanks for posting this, look forward to more 👍🙂
Great review of a style of kit I've never looked at - love the detail of the rigging. Good one mate.
Hi I,m just building the same model. Maybe you can help me Im having problems understanding in there manual parts list, LIST NUMBERS. Can you hel regards Preter
Peter, on page 22 of the instruction booklet, it mentions the “list number” is a catalogue number for obtaining parts possibly damaged by the modeller. Using the Google translate camera function, it translates as “ the model catalogue number for the purchase of any parts damaged during manufacture”.
Great in depth Unboxing review of this kit John. Like yourself I haven't yet built a Corel kit but I do have their "Hms Bellona" kit in my stash. Like your Victory kit, the wood in my Bellona kit is very good. It's a pity about your Victory's Stern details being made from "pressed wood" rather than cnc cut or photo etch, the Bellona kit has photo etch for the Stern and quarter gallery details. I was suprised you said the detailed parts weren't great within the kit, as I thought the ones within the Bellona kit were very good, maybe something to do with the year of release between the 2 kits ? Looking forward to maybe an update on your build once you start. All the best Rob.
Cheers Rob. Watching it back, this review is full of errors. In retrospect, I should have opened the fittings tray. What I mean is… the crest, lanterns and gun ports would be better nowadays. Not vague renditions plated gold but possibly CNC milled and/or 3D printed. The Bellona looks like a wonderful kit, too. Kind regards.
Awesome video John, makes me want to build my Classic Hornet now 😁
