行雲流水的第4樂章,我的最愛,沒有之一。
Btw, the name of the dog owned by my very first violin teacher was... Egmont.^^
良い音で鳴らしてますね、バーンスタイン。
Восхищаюсь!!!!!!!
Людвиг, Маэстро, Спасибо, что ты был!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video work too
I love this second movement
A lovely reading of one of Beethoven's most sublime slow movements. It was my favourite of the master's symphonies from the age of 11 when I was first introduced to them. The beautiful gently hovering clarinet solo immediately attracted me. Genius!

Once you heared Bernstein conduct Beethoven's symphonies, all other versions seem wrong somehow.
You’re absolutely right.
Notice how his hair is messed up at the end?
Ha ha Always
😂 01:05 🤶🌲
When I listen to Bernstein conduct Beethoven, I question his interview with Maximillian Schnell where said Luigi was a mediocre composer and called his harmonisation "child-like". Leonard was the only music teacher I had that didn't criticize my voice (of course it was through film) and he instiled a love of classical music in me despite being born with two left ears.
What is my favorite Beethoven Symphony? The next one.
Mine too.
Clarinet solo 7:40
Godly music! But I can only listen to it with no video. I have conductoropthalmostylusophobia - the fear the conductor would poke his eye with the stick. One of my all-time favourites, the first being Mozart's "The Marrage of Figaro" ouverture!

Beethoven la q unità Sinfonia rimane un opera essenziale non solo nella storia della musica, ma anche nello spirito
4:36, 6:48, 10:42 and 11:14 are my favorite parts.
Crazyyyy❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
6:21 4th mvt
LEONARD BERNSTEIN always right!!!!
May I say, besides the conducting and playing, also good camera work and sound.
I don't really like the third movement much... not one of Beethoven's strongest pieces. My favorite is the first movement

Classical music is making a comeback in the world in 2018. And this is an excellent place to start, with Bernstein conducting Beethoven!
wouldnt say so but id be cool. anyway, the closest you'll get to classical music nowadays are with contemporary composers that use orchestras and all like hanz zimmer and thomas bergersen, to cite a few I know. (not only orchestras ofc but I love orchestras)
how comic!!!!!!!!!!!! how humor!!!!!!!!! how fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! how can this sound!!!! how can!????? beethoven is god;;;; thx bernstein!!!

Preciosidade!!!! Obrigado por compartilhar!!!!
stunning rendition of this wonderful symphony stunning orchestra of course and stunning maestro!!!
that 3rd movement!!!!
It's not much on Beethoven!
I love to watch him conduct. Total control and every instruction followed by the orchestra. Pure genius..
So good to hear this with the repeat of the exposition before moving on to the development section. I can't bear to hear it without this repeat. The moment where it goes to the development section has to be waited for. It is miraculous...
indeed. i really like the 4th it is rather underated + ignored.
I share your opinion about the 4th's repeat. But the worst case of rushing to the development section would be the 1st movement of the 8th symphony I think haha.
The end of 3rd movement is just fantastic.

Bernstein takes care of every note, as tiny as it might be.
Que bonita!!!😁😁😁😁😁
If you listen to the beginning of the 1st movement, you also hear foreshadowing of the 5th symphony. As for 4:41 - 5:00, ever since I saw "Immortal Beloved," I've listened to Beethoven in a different way. It's as if he has love themes and pastoral dances in mind, then his inner turmoil transforms them and his passion takes them to dramatic places. As a "movie" Immortal Beloved left something to be desired. But those brief glances into the creative process, like when Beethoven describes his music with the background of him in a coach waylaid by a storm - fantastic!
we can all hear the passion at 3:15
Danke Ludwig, Freund von meine traurigen Stunden, die angenehmen geworden sind.
YES!!!!!!
