Wow that's unfortunate, what's rlly funny is that the previous Fujitecs lifts before replacement were really high - quality stuff, then when Otis replaced them the quality just dropped...btw how long were u stuck in there?

Thanks for ur comment! and yes,the unrefurbished ones r definitely prefered given their efficiency and classicness,I've also visited 712 amk before though I nvr rlly filmed it,will do next time,thanks for ur suggestion :)

The 2 sets of elescoping doors Schindlers were refurbishments,while the regular size elevators were add on's...no mods so far

AMK seems like the only town that still has majority of its pre lip lifts still arnd

@@ZHD1987E yup agreed, somethings r bttr to be left alone...a great eg. Of a horrible replacement OTIS did is to the lifts at Tiong Bahru Plaza,look at how I almost got stuck in the fire lift a few yrs back,shows their poor quality 💩,imo no well made lift would suddenly emergency brake,prob hinting a major underlying issue depsite it's young age

Saw ur story abt 2days back,and honestly I doubt OTIS would have done any of a bttr job either given their quality these days,so either way it would be ruined somehow or rather

It seemed like it emergency broke when approaching the 4th floor, perhaps it was overspeed and the governor tripped causing the aftermath,we were lucky that we escaped safely.

Fully agreed,they give the people in the bldg a much easier time locating each lift,smart on their part tbh...and imagine if these had the call prediction feature,they would totally go head on head competition with the current destination dispatches

Late 2019 actually...visited the place back then right after the mod was complete.

Exactly lol...it sounded very scary though,as if it was over speeding and was gonna crash into the ground. Can't understand why vintage lifts that r well maintained always goes first while leaving such poor condition ones still arnd,bldg management obv has smth to do with it.

U gave a very valid point! I'm thinking perhaps this wasn't a very heavy mod,so perhaps most of the internal parts u mentioned weren't replaced,which prob would explain the mismatch up

Yes I'm aware that the latest hdbs models r from China, though Fujitec as a brand themselves r from Japan

Update: I just found out the China Fujitec brand to be called 'Huasheng Fujitec'

Haha even I spelled it correctly...kinda embarrassing that they could make such a mistake and yup had they added the date and time the whole lcd would have looked way more professional than looking like a cheap PowerPoint presentation

They fixed it and also added the lift number to the LCDs. Honestly the mods are fine imo.
