Happy Tears - Part1 Beginners Amigurumi Crochet
I've no idea if cotton yarn is the best choice, but I truly love the way you did the video! Just one question, what weight of cotton yarn is that? Double knit has no meaning to me. Was it sport/ baby yarn?
Thank you so much 😊 The yarn I use is cotton DK (light worsted) from Lovecrafts. It is a little thinner than other cotton DK yarns I've used, so I would say it is closer to sport weight. I hope that helps 😉
Thank you so very much! You've explained it so well, I'm speechless at how different my project looks with your technique. I truly appreciate you sharing ❤️
That's wonderful! I'm so glad you found it useful 😍
❤❤❤❤Gracias es perfecto
You're very welcome 😍
I usually use acrylic, in South Africa it's hard to get anything truly affordable. Cotton is great but most of the time is so expensive and he gauge is thinner than I like so it takes forever to make any project, also the items come out smaller than I would like when following someone's pattern. I recently noticed a lot of folks on instagram using cotton milk (I'm not entirely sure what that means) but i purchased some this past weekend and I actually love it. It's so soft but the only issue is getting the tension right for decreasing.
Thank you for sharing your story. I haven't heard of cotton milk yarn either. I'll have to have a look 😉
I started with a book called Amigurumi for Beginners by Jessica Simpson. Not a book I would recommend for beginners at all. For one thing most of the patterns use dark colors like black and chocolate brown. But if you are an experienced crocheter wanting to learn new techniques, it's not a bad book because you do learn the basic shapes and can experiment with yarn and hooks to find out what works best for you.
Ooooh!, the dreaded black yarn. A challenge for even the most experienced crocheter 😳🤣 Thank you for sharing ❤️
Yes, this was an excellent tip, thank you! I've had this problem and this really explained it for me.
I'm so glad it helped 😁
My God, THANK YOU. I have been watching clean line vids for weeks now - they are all so complicated. This method is easy, no tricky stitch involved, no confusing maneuvering just quick and simple. Thank you thank you thank you!❤️
No, thank you! I'm so glad you found it useful and your comment has made my day 😃
Nice looking color change. I am impressed. Always something new to learn even after 40 years, lol.
I'm glad you liked it. I never stop learning either... "every day is a school day" is my favourite saying (and I haven't been to school for decades 🤣)
I have just followed a link to this from a group on facebook and it is just fab. Finally it makes sense and hopefully my next crochet animal will look much better when i sew its arms and legs on 😀
I'm so glad it was helpful 😀 Please let me know how you get on 😉
This is a brilliant game changer, thank you for sharing it! 👍
Im so glad you found it useful 😁
How do you sew on the spots
I sew them on after using cross-stitches and keep working over them until you can't see the yellow underneath 😉
Muchas gracias 😌🫂 esto me va a funcionar!!🎉❤
I'm glad you found it useful 😀 Thank you for watching 😁
Thank you for sharing x it looks so easy 😊
Thanks for watching 😁
Love this! Thank you
I'm so glad you like it 😁
Saludos desde México podría escribir subtítulos en español ya que no entiendo su idioma y donde encuentro el tutorial completo gracias y bendiciones
Thank you for your message. I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are asking. I think that Google translate does not translate well every time. The full pattern (instructions) is available to purchase, but it is only available in English. I know that the terminology is different in Spanish and unfortunately I don't know how to write the instructions in Spanish.
Puedes darle click donde están las dos CC que es para los subtitulos y te aparece traducción automática, le das click y te aparece el listado de idiomas y tú escoges el idioma que necesitas en tu caso sería español. Saludos
Wow; brilliant 🙏🙏
Thank you. I'm glad you like it 😁
Very clear instructions, thanks! I appreciate the tip about pulling the tails to match the other stitches in size, before fastening them.
I'm so glad you found it useful 😁
as someone who was just panicking over not knowing how to decrease this helped a lot. btw i sometimes get small holes when increasing too.. is that a tension problem? im using a 3mm hook for a yarn that recommends 4,5mm for better results but increase areas still have holes for me
I'm so glad you found it helpful ☺️ Yes, if your normal stitches don't have holes, then it's more than likely a tension issue. It sounds counterintuitive, but try relaxing your tension slightly when increasing as you might be pulling the yarn too tight and this can create holes. You will find that the more you do, the more consistent your tension becomes. I hope that helps and let me know how you get on 😉
@@HobbyDaysUK alright thanks! i never really did "3 dimensional" crochet but i really wanted to make a minion so i had to learn it🤣
Oh, I see 🤣 Well good luck and who knows, maybe you'll be hooked by the time you've finished 😂
I'm new to crochet. Just started early this month. Running out of yarn mid project, although im sure super common, just never occurred to my mind. 😅 Thanks to my RUclips algorithm, this video popped up, and I instantly saved it to my Crochet folder for future reference. Thank you! It was a great and easy explanation and easy to follow.
I'm did glad you found it and I'm sure it will come in handy 😉
Great video! thanks ♥
I'm so glad you liked it 😁
Great video at a good speed and really helpful explanation, thank you.
I'm so glad it was helpful! 😁
Thankyou for this delightful video it’s very easy and helpful Hugs from Scotland 🏴
I'm so glad you found it useful 😁
This is so helpful. Thank you!!
I'm so glad you found it helpful 😁
❤
It looks really cute!
Thank you so much 😊
Your videos are wonderful! I am new to Amigurumi, and did not know stitches are done slightly differently than normal crochet. (I have been reintroduced to crochet after many years) it is wonderful to learn new things. I like your method of teaching, and camera work is great too. Thank you so much
Wow! Thank you so much for your kind words. You've no idea how much it means ❤️
Why do we do another invisible joint on the second round if its gonna be the same color for the next 2 round like you show in the end of the video? It was great till it hit that part and now im confused.
There are two rounds of each colour. So you do an invisible stitch on the second round, then add the new colour, complete the first round (of the new colour) and then do an invisible stitch at the end of the second round of that same colour. So you're doing the invisible change in every other round. I hope that helps 😉
@HobbyDaysUK so I don't need to do the invisible joint if the 3rd round is the same color with the 2nd round right?
That's right. If you're doing 3 rounds of the same colour, you would only do the invisible stitch on the 3rd round and then attach the new colour.
@HobbyDaysUK Great! And for the second round. Which stitch count as the first stitch? Is it the stitch still has white yarn in it??
Yes. I hope this helps. Please let me know how you get on 😉
That’s the best colour change I’ve seen 👍
Thank you so much 😊
Nice job, enjoyed that 👍
Thanks 👍
This is the first time I've seen the invisible stitch 😮. I usually join a new color by pulling it through the work instead of starting with the new color on my hook. Very interesting techniques here 🤔
I only use this method if I'm doing a colour change in the back loop only or changing colour just once as I find it works well for me. I do have another version of the invisible colour change that I use for my Zebra which you might find useful. Let me know what you think 😉 ruclips.net/video/6ydCc5luElU/видео.html
This needs more views!! This is the first video I have seen that makes total sense and now my limbs won’t come loose so thank you!!!
Awww, thank you so much 😃 I'm so glad you found it useful 😁
Where do you find the large ball head pins?
I bought mine from my local independent craft shop, but you can find them at most craft shops and online (Amazon,eBay etc). I think they are known as Dressmakers ball head pins 😉
Very good tutorial for doing color changes in the round. Thank you.🦋
I'm so glad you like it 😄
Thank you for sharing, you made it look easy to do 😊 I have subscribed and given a thumbs up x
It is easy once you get the hang of it , I promise 😉 Thank you so much for your subscription and thumbs up 😍
I love your invisible join and color change😊
Thank you so much 😁
Nice 👍
Amazing,thank-you from Canada😻
Wow ! Thank you so much 😁
Thank you ! Thank you!
You're very welcome 😁

You're very welcome 😁
Nice job
That’s the best colour change I have seen.Thank you
I'm so glad you like it. Thank you so much 😁
Oh wow, thank you, that is so kind of you ❤
I'm glad you like it 😁
I really love your videos and you explain what you are doing so clearly, it makes it very easy to follow and understand what you are doing. Will you please do a tutorial on attaching say for an example a circle (elephant ear). Not on an open limb or limb with an opening such as a muzzle. Please I am struggling with that. Thank you
Thank you 😁 I'm so glad you like them. I will see what I can do for you 😉
Vielen vielen Dank für dieses tolle Video . 👍🤗 Ich werde es gleich bei meinem nächsten Projekt ausprobieren. Alles liebe und gute.💐Thank you so much.
