i just got a 67 ,6hp johnson ,the guy says new impela ,and head gasket ,was done last year ,now it wont start ,,did run when he first pulled it over last week ,,but now ,nothing ,i gave him 200 bucks for it and a unused new plastic gas tank bubble and hose connections ,it turns over with good compression ,hope its just a blocked carb or points maybe ,,its hard to find them now the tank set up was 60 bucks so i done good

Mine runs when tiller at start but when on shift or slow the engine stops like yours. The cam roller doesnt even open the throttle until tiller is at start. Is this normal? THanks.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't getting any serious interest thru craigslist, so I sent it to auction. It sold, but for less than I hoped for. We now have a '72 Shasta 1400, solid body. I wish I knew beforehand that they make a compact version-only 10'- while ours is 13'. We might be looking some time for the smaller one.

I think the prices are all over the place depending on condition. I put new wheels and tires on mine cleaned it up fixed the lights, but didn't do any restore work. Just made it road worthy and usable. I seen I wasn't going to have time to do a good full restore, so I sold it on CL a while back for $400.00 with all the framework, canvas and front awning. By the way, you should contact "rustkeeper" below. He is looking for one

I have a 1963 Nimrod that I want to sell. It's solid ; needs canvas work (top) , a paint job and general touching up inside. What are these worth? thanks

@DJNIKKO9c1 I have all the canvas and the HUGE FRONT awning for this camper. I still have plans to restore this camper and use it this summer but have been very busy at work ever since I got it. I will post more video as I work on it, so check back to see how its going.

@DJNIKKO9c1 Thanks for viewing and commenting. You are correct on the differances in the campers. As you can see in the beginning of the video that mine is the 3 star model. I in 1961 they also made a 4 star model that was the same as the 3 star but also had a slide out Kitchenette in the back, cook top on one side and a sink on the other side. Also the 3 star and 4 star models used 1959 Pontiac taillights and some wide Chrome decal like trim all around the camper.

My mom and dad bought a nimrod camper in 1963. The nimrod campers of that year were available in 3 sizes, the smallest: the One Star, the medium: the Two Star, and the largest was the Three Star. Dad's was a 3 star version. The difference in size was in width. not length. Dad's actually had 3 stars on each side. The camper also came with an absolutely HUGE FRONT Awning. I just got rid of it a few years ago. These campers were made in Ohio, cincinnati I believe. They were well built
