These turtles are herbivores, eating mainly plants such as grass, flowers, leaves, and some fruits. Their diet is usually rich in fiber, which helps maintain digestive health.

Like other tortoises, Horsefield tortoises are very slow moving. However, they are capable of digging in the ground to find shelter or nesting places, especially in winter when they need to find a warm place to hibernate.

Horsefield tortoises feed primarily on grass, greens, flowers and occasionally fruit. Their diet must be maintained properly to ensure good health, especially providing enough calcium to help the tortoise shell grow healthily.

I was so worried for him !!😮 Why didn't you anchor the pot down, or at least take the plants out and cover them with the substrate ? This is the only video that truly made me uncomfortable because I was worried that he would get injured or crushed. He is so small, don't put something that can be easily knocked over, in his enclosure.😞😟

I always heard that some breeds of tortoises, especially Russian tortoises, are territorial. I wondered why people who had them as pets, never got a "room-mate" for their little one. I was worried that it would get lonely but now I know that they don't like to "share" their space...I don't blame them ..Lol !!!😆 Trunky is so cute !!! I love his chubby little legs.
