from WGAR, WJW, and WHK, some sound that was captured from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, 1971. In the longer version of the WGAR broadcast, there is a lengthy segment with Norm N. Nite and his family playing Christmas songs.

I guess WEWS didn't have frame store synchronizers in 1978...i notice the video broke up each time they cut to and from Gib's live shot at the stadium - and when they switched to "World News Tonight" on ABC...
So were frame store synchronizers the solution to those sync rolls that often happened during network or remote switches?
KPIX, WLS, WXYZ used the same set.

The ending v/o for the Honeywell Smoke and detector ad and the WKYC Station ID (featuring a promo slide for “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson”) was the late Jay Miltner.
The ending v/o for the Super Glue 3 ad was former WEWS staff announcer, Dave Pelunis. Pelunis left the station a month later and was replaced by David Mark.
That news set that they used was also used by 2 ABC affiliates WLS in Chicago and WXYZ in Detroit at that time.
