Had a 2.5 hour delay on BA flight from Brandenburg to LHR a few weeks ago, eventually taxid out 2 hours late and then engine shut down and moved nowhere for almost 30 minutes, sorry to hear you had a bad experience and missing your connection was not good.
Looks like BA has a huge problem with getting flights actually on time.
@@aviationmartin3246 I suppose technical problems can't be predicted, the biggest problem is the lack of information given to passengers. When my flight was sitting stationary for 30 minutes after push back absolutely no announcement from the flight deck .
@@r12004rewyso i think it is something about maintenance of planes . On my way back the BA a380 flight IAD-LHR was cancelled probably because of mechanical issue because i was checkin Flightradar and the plane kept getting delayed at LHR and then was cancelled

De-icing at the gate is a terrible idea, it’s a safety risk for tug drivers during push back, because the de-icing liquid is very slippery the tug wheels can’t get traction so the planes weight can pull the tug in the wrong direction.
The E195-E2 is manufactured by Embraer, from Brazil. Great aeroplane.
In my opinion E2 is one of the best regional jets on the market

This is why for international flights, I always try to keep a connection time of at least 2 hours, since passport control, going through security, and then making it on time before doors closed. 55 minutes is too little as you basically have only 45 minutes before doors close.
In Europe connecting between two Schengen flights is very simple you just have to leave the airplane and then go directly to another plane . Unfortunately Lufthansa group is having problems with getting flights actually on time .
@@aviationmartin3246 it depends on the flight you take. In my experience, I always had to either go through passport control or security a second time.
