Loved the Miracle cantata, and particularly loved the interaction between the three kings! Who knew that frankincense makes the most sense?? The chemistry between the three kings was priceless!! 2:24:11 I also loved how Father Chris worked with the “no room” theme in the cantata to give a very powerful homily. I feel so fortunate to be able to stream mass from St. Paul the Apostle. Thank you, Father Eric, for embracing the Virtch Church so that people like me, many miles away from New York, can hear powerful homilies and beautiful, uplifting music. And I am so grateful that you embrace all seekers, with no prejudice, and welcome them to be integral members of your church. You are truly following Christ’s example and His message of love. Jesus "was entering this city where he will "undergrow" his trial and conviction." What growing did he have to do? He knew, at a preliminary level, that sacrifice is not the way we come to realize our innocence, how to erase guilt. He said twice before, " If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent." But he had to personally experience the way we end our thoughts and feelings of being separate from God is through forgiveness "for they know not what they do." And then he fully accepted , ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.’

The music at this Sunday 5 PM mass was superb!! You outdo yourselves every week! Thank you, thank you for making the mass so uplifting! I wish I could be there in person to hear you and tell you how much I appreciate your talent and charism of bringing God to people through music. Alas, I live in Tennessee, and a trip to New York is not in my near future. But my heart is with you, and I wish you great success with your upcoming concert. And thank you, Father Chris, for a wonderful homily on the elections. I was praying that Kamala would win, particularly for the safety of LGBTQ and migrant people, and for the reversal of global warming. 🎉But many people are hurting and wanted a change. So we are called to give of ourselves to help those who are hurt by the actions of the new administration. And we will be praying for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be poured out to all who will be serving in the Federal government in the next four years. Thanks to all at St. Paul the Apostle for being such a source of hope and love for all of us. 1:40:21

Imagine what this choir would sound like if they did Palestrina, Tallis, or Vittoria for the liturgy. They would sound ten times better.

I attend Mass via recording several times each week, usually in the evening. I will certainly not forget Pauline in my prayers. I will always remember her soft voice reading the scripture.

It would be nice if you mentioned the titles and composers of the various musical numbers featured each week.
