A moment with Hales
Добавлен 23 мар 2024
Hello, lovely listeners! This podcast is inspired by my dad, who always encouraged me to pause and appreciate the beauty of each season of life. He taught me to cherish everything that God has placed in my path. I created this podcast as a way to hold myself accountable for finding meaning in the mundane, and through these episodes, I hope to inspire you to do the same!

Hahaha the hat!!! I love it!!
One of my fav Christmas gifts!
Loved the garden update Haley!
Thanks for watching!!
Nice that your garden is still producing 💪. Is that the first thing you’ve ever propagated? I like to use a 50/50 peat moss and pearlite mix for most plants.
Yes! This is the first time I've ever gotten roots to actually grow. I'll look into that soil! Thank you - I'm getting ready to plant them next week!
@ awesome! You can buy a premade one from the big box stores called pro mix or another called sunshine mix. Once you get it dialed in it’s very easy to root some plants/trees. I recently did a video where I rooted 50 mulberry trees from cuttings. I basically just stuck them in the mix and watered them everyday 😂.
@@GrowsGoneWild I'll have to check it out! Thank you!!
This was so cool Haley! I’ve been meaning to try with our chickens!
Hi Stef! Yes, it was fun to watch. It took them about 2 days!
Hello Good morning thanks for sharing such a beautiful garden You are doing very well keep it up
Deep thoughts How do you balance dichotomy of body and soul.I mean how u manage harmonizing the soul and body.whereby rider of soul is more stronger than horse of body
What a time to be alive! Praise the Lord!
The Aten en egypt can be equated to Yaweh. Ankhenaten was a monotheist
Ba'al=lord proper name Hadad if this god is false so is adonai yahweh they're siblings and El and Asherah are their parents yahweh is a poser and usurper. Zeus/Dyeus=Dyeus-piter/pater=Jupiter=Zeus-Pater=Sky-Father. Stolen attributes and epithets don't make a god the true god it just makes him amalgamated.
Looks like a great year for your garden! Do you grow any fruit trees? Growing what you like to eat is the best advice!
We got 2 apple trees this spring! and one didn't make it through the summer. I'd also like to get a fig and pear tree. We live in VA -- any suggestions on what's best to grow?
@@amomentwithhales too bad for the apple. How cold does it get there? Not really familiar with Virginia, but some figs are more cold hardier than others. I have liked tiger panache and violette de Bordeaux but not sure how they would do in your area. The great thing about figs is that they root pretty easily and do well in pots so it’s easy to try out several varieties.
@@GrowsGoneWild the winters are pretty mild here! A few cold days, but nothing too crazy. I’ll have to research those- thank you!
@@amomentwithhales oh that’s good! I am looking to add Smith, I 258 and CDA next year. There’s honestly too many figs out there 😂
Forgot to add, you can plant micro dwarf tomatoes in half to one gallon containers and grow them inside during the winter. They will need a south window and/or supplemental lights. I have some planted and a couple of them already have blooms and they are only 2 inches tall. All micro dwarf tomatoes should grow 12 inches or less. Fun to play with during the winter time.
Your tomatoes did really well. You can pick them when they start to blush (turn colors) and they will finish ripening inside so they will not split. What you saw in you potato bed appears to be a volunteer tomato. Same thing with the green plant in your beets. They spread pretty easy. And fall potatoes are really tough. You have to plant them early when it is still hot, hope they sprout and have time to produce tubers. Planting them in early spring, about a week or two before your last frost date is a good time to plant Irish potatoes. Sweet potatoes are planted in late spring since they love the summer heat. You did really well with your garden.
Thank you for all this info! I"ll have to make sure I get a plan together in the spring and get more potatoes going! I will try to get to the blushing tomatoes before the rain comes again - thanks for the tip! Because I let so much stuff go so long in my garden, I wonder if I'll have random plants popping up all over my beds... The micro dwarf tomatoes sound super fun to try over winter! Again, thanks for all the tips - can't wait until next season!
@@amomentwithhales I get random tomatoes every year. If you want any micro dwarf tomato seeds I have a few extra if you want them. Just let me know.
Tomatoes are looking good. They are not as sweet the further you get into the fall, just not enough sunlight and warm temperatures.
Thank you! I'm hoping to get one more round! ... and looking up recipes for unripened tomatoes 😂
Outstanding tour
Thank you!
Happy first day of fall!,, 🍁🍂🎃
It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Your garden is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey.😊
@@myhomeandgardenchanneldwel7777 It’s so much fun to share all the hard work that goes into gardening. Thanks for the encouragement and the follow! 💕
The food looks delicious ❤❤❤
@@Truongthikimcuong92 thank you!! 💕
Loved the pesto freezer tip! Adored the chickens! Especially Charles! ❤
@@ruthcollins3836 Charles is a mooch! Always following me!
I really enjoyed your video, beautifully connected to nature. You got my subscription!
Thank you!
Watermelons are one of the more difficult things to grow in the garden. You are doing well with your tomatoes. Enjoyed the video.
We've enjoyed trying to figure out melons - but still a long way to go! :) I'm so excited we're getting a second burst of tomatoes!
Hello, nice to see you here. Thanks for sharing very interesting.
Oh, so sad about the watermelon!!! Those are some lucky chickens!,😂
They really are! They've had a couple of fresh organic watermelons this summer! :)
I have found it is much easier to grow broccoli in a fall garden than a spring garden. They also are heavy feeders of nitrogen. When it gets hot I get broccoli like you have, never really does anything. I am in Texas.
Ohh good to know! This summer started off so hot here - so that prob has something to do with it. Maybe I'll stop being annoyed and give them a try this fall.... Thanks for the advice!!
Felicidades ases un buen trabajo los cultivos son organicos?? Plantas muy sanas 😊suscribete al canal
🎉love that garden And those tomatoes will be delicious
Hope you get that gopher! So sorry about the melon loss! 😢
