🇨🇾 While the Cyprus Rally would eventually join the FIA World Rally Championship tour in the early 2000s, its campaign to join the calendar began in the early 1990s as seen in this promotional video.
Absolutely brilliant. Real cars real people just pure racing on the edge.
Verdon-Roe really does sound like an archetypal Londoner. 'Av a banana 🍌😉
Ah John Cleland remembered here in Aus for ending upside down in a v8 supercar at Bathurst after hitting Jason Plato

I can't wait for the 2024 F1 season to start.....it always reminds me to come on RUclips and watch some EXCITING motor racing!
Proper engine sound before all this turbo hybrid bollocks, etc.
F1 with weight penalties for finish position in the previous race might become worth watching.
Wonder how many people understood the reference to walking backwards for Christmas?
I don't but I'm a Goon.
Many thanks for posting, as I really enjoyed watching the full highlights, where only the key bits were shown on the old VHS review. I didn't realise that Cleland was wired for sound as well as Soper before watching this🙂
Great stuff, Super Stevie Soper. Think him and JC might have a bigger off at the end of the season 😅lol!!!!
Thanks so much for uploading this! Do you have round 1 or 4 from the BTCC in 1992?
My collection is a bit all over the shop but I'll have a hunt around!

The Turbo it was big deal at that time.
