Interior For RC Vaterra K5 Blazer
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.7 лет назад
This is how I did the interior for my RC Vaterra Blazer. I had the RC4WD parts on hand because I was going to make my own interior but then I changed my mind and got the Dinky RC kit.
Look purty darn good, bud❤️🔥💪🏽! I saw this kit down at hobby lobby here while back but they wanted way to much for it so I turned it down! Same for the Kenworth C500 Canadian log truck to!
I always loved this movie, they went through the state that I live in, Oregon
Resto mod?😳 Jman
Awesome rebuild you did there on the rebuild can I ask what is the material you have used to make the padded interior walls thanks jamie
Thanks. The pattern on the interior is a decal that I made from a pattern I found on the internet. I did some computer editing, removing everything but the pattern lines and printed it on a clear decal sheet then applied it on the painted interior walls.
You made that W925 look amazing. A very neat build.
I got that kit and the trailer for christmas 1977 and still have it.
This is one I built as a kid, as well... You did a fine job rebuilding yours and certainly fixed a lot of the flaws in that old AMT. Movin' On was always my favorite, for I never really got into some of the others that came out after that. There certainly wasn't anyone quite like Claude Akins, either (miss him!). I guess I can blame Will and Sonny for being bad influences, for after ten years of starvation-pay in radio stations, I ended up in an '89 cabover as a first truck in '93 and have mostly driven since then (30 years disappeared quickly). lol After a couple of years hauling windmill blades, I returned to the North Dakota oilfield driving winch trucks and we've got an old spring-ride truck that reminds me of these old tractors, for they'll beat you to death after a day on the dirt lease roads. Enough rambling, though... Loved seeing this old kit rebuilt and upgraded! You did a fine job with her. Well done!
Thank you sir!
You didnt go into great details on how you stretch out the sleeper. That would have been nice to see for my Movin On kit.
I re-used all of the parts from the original sleeper. The only thing I added were two pieces of styrene for the sides and a middle section of the roof, which I formed by clamping a piece of 0.040" styrene sheet to that wooden block I carved out. Then I immersed it in boiling water so it would retain the shape.
Thank you very much.
I still have my moven on truck model.over 40 years old.still not built yet.even b j and the bear.semi truck still not built yet.and other semi truck models.all old kits.😮😅
Awesome build
Very impressive!!
I have the same kit, i built mine many years ago and is still sitting here in my closet for now until i get to my new home and i will display it then on a shelf in the family room.
I'm building that same truck. I'm interested in buying a ser of your decals for it.
I loved that TV show that's show got me started building model trucks and made me want to be a long haul driver
Nice.👍The work you did at the front end is outstanding.
Should have been a 903 cummins
Wow you used the best of Concrete Cowboy songs. You made the model look more like the KW used on the TV show. Great job!
Thank you for sharing. I sure don’t have your talent! Enjoyed the music too.
I had this model
I thought this was the best truck when I was a little boy love that song to this day.
Great job. I remember getting this kit as soon as it came out as a kid in the 70's. Loved the TV show. Naturally i butchered it and assembled it unpainted lol. I now have an original sealed kit in my collection that i just look at now and then .
great video! where can I get parts to make the sleeper and what do I have to do to lenthing the frame any info will help !
I had that one too.
I built one when I was in Jr. high when the show was on originally. Wish I had it now. Looks great and I love the MTB tunes!
Great job, building 1/25 scale trucks since 1968 when AMT came out with the day cab Peterbilt 359. The actual TV show KWs had the VT-903 Cummins with a 10 speed RoadRanger. My compliments
If I remember right the model was a twin stick.
@@pointingdog7235 yes the AMT model kit had the 5 x 4 Spicer transmission set up. Also the model kit had a single bunk not the walk in bunk
U want sell it I buy it good chunk $$$$$$ big bucks
Great job man it looks great .
Did you have to lengthen the frame to accommodate the larger sleeper box?
Do it to it like Sonney Pruitt.
Really nice Rig.. Great rebuild of a once King of the Road Truck.👍
The orig is beat up, but still driving not aware of its history
Wow man this looks fantastic. This video popped up and I had to check it out. I still have my Movin On truck built and preserved, and I also thought of restoring. Bought it back when the TV show was on prime time (74/75) with money earned mowing lawns. Was very disappointed that the sleeper was the wrong size. I would love to see this kit get rereleased.
Wow👍👍
Wow !! Very nice 👍🇺🇸. Sure does take me back to the 70's for sure.. Move'n On and White Line Fever were the show's and Movies that made me want to be a Hard Core Truck Dirve'n Man.. Yep.... Well that didn't happen ...🥴. The closest I came to driving an 18 Wheeler , was when I had a Chevrolet Dually with 12 bald tires in the bed. 👍🇺🇸
i have both the old school kit and the newer repop kit nice work
that is an awesome lookin trucks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep up the great work !!
Great looking truck! I'm curious, what decals were you not impressed with and where did you find the ones you used?
I don't remember which site I got them from. I'll follow up once I find out. I found that the alignment of the white and lime green was off, so I didn't use them.
Awsome job dude. Im inspired to start building again.
Will and Sonny would love this👍
WOW!
It's a real masterpiece!...and kudos to you for answering everyone's questions!...oh yea, and brake fluid does work great for stripping regular models, but it softens/ruins resin jobs....I found out the hard way.
Ouch!
Great work. Looks awesome behind of Movin On Kenworth.
Nice model!!!!
Hello Dean, one more question, what did you use to make your front bumper (the white part), is it the Evergreen C channel styrene? I ordered the widest they have (5/16) but it doesn't seem to be wide enough to fit the mounts. Thanks.
I used part of a scrap frame off another KW
Outstanding work!
That is a great looking rig, I'm currently working on one myself and want to use the larger tires on the front. Did you modify the front cab supports to raise the cab or place them to sit higher and what did you use to make the hood brackets out of?
Thanks. I made new cab mounts from 0.040 sheet styrene and the hood hinges from styrene strip. Drill the hole first, then carve the hinge to shape around the hole.
Great work that KW looks awesome
Definitely a great job thatkw looks awesome
Your model is perfect. But I've noticed one small detail from the old TV series. There were two extra mud guard support struts attached between the wheel fenders and the fuel tanks of the original truck. When Sunny is not hauling any cargo he takes the the mud guards off from the rear of the truck and attaches them to those struts in the middle of the chassis, when he's holding any type of cargo large or small he attaches them to the rear of the truck.
Wow, I never noticed that!
