as a lifelong Hawks fan, trae is not only entering his prime this year, but also his player option year to walk. So either way it goes he's going to be playing his hardest this season I believe. They finally surrounded him with height and defense this offaeason. im very hype for this year and hopefully trae stays as durable as he has been. Im glad they chose trae over djm. Trae is a generational offensive talent who has increased his numbers every year and he's just entering his prime. Already seen the ecf with a WORSE team and consistently shows up when it matters. Hopefully this season makes him resign with us

To be real, and I mean 100% honesty and not trying to hate. But I think Okc is a little overrated. Shai is a great scorer, but not a great defender. He's a good defender, not a great defender, not an elite defender, and there's level to this. Dort defense is also overrated because he gets away being very physical rather than playing great clean defense like Caruso. Dort literally was up in Luka's junk, tripping him, and when going around screens would flop like crazy. He even played the same trash defense in the Olympics too. I don't consider that as elite defense. And is a streaky 3pt shooter, who's also undersized. While Caruso and Hartenstein were great pickups, a lot hinges on Chet and JDub taking that next step offensively because Shai was the only one that was able to get buckets in the playoffs. If they don't improve, I think Okc stays the same, but with better defense. And I'll hold on calling them a future dynasty with the new CBA. If Chet and JDub improves, they're gonna be value as max contracts and with the new CBA, teams essentially can afford 2 max guys and no more. Dynasties are dead now
