I see where you're coming from with the Palamute comparison, but Palamute walked so Seikret could fly! You're absolutely right about Focus Mode being game-changing - and when you combine that with the Seikret's abilities, that's where things get REALLY spicy! The dual weapon system isn't just about carrying a second weapon - it's about switching your entire hunting style mid-combat without a camp visit. Imagine this: You're mid-Rathalos fight, he takes to the skies, and instead of using a Farcaster, you swap from Great Sword to Bow right there! That's something our good boy Palamute never dreamed of. As for wirefall - I feel you on missing that sweet recovery! But from what we've seen, the Seikret's mobility system seems to be building something completely different. Maybe they're cooking up something even spicier than wirebugs? What weapon combo would you run with the dual-weapon system?

@@inzanehunter Functionally nothing is different. The only thing that changes is a modest reduction in the amount of time it takes to change weapons. Focus Mode is a game-changer because is fundamentally alters MH's gameplay function. Being meaningful in video games means creating a significant change in gameplay function.

Agreed Azsura, my fellow Hunter! Iceborne's Raider mounts were glorified taxi services so no surprise that you didn't use them - I didn't use them much either! But the Seikret? Straight up INZANE. I'm happy to hear you loved it as much as I did!

Trust me, I paint with metaphors like a Rathalos paints the sky with fireballs 😅 Here's the thing about the Seikret: in my opinion, having it as a pure mount actually makes it MORE badass. Real talk - a lance main who appreciates SnS? You're already legendary in my book! From one shield enjoyer to another 🛡️. But something in that beta made you bounce harder than attacking Basarios's head... What was the deal-breaker for you tiawen?

@inzanehunter the sharpness loss is very very rough , it does decent damage but its now the poster boy of death by a thousand cut ( we of course had no elem weap) , the range is also very low as in i believe even db has more now , perfect rush is now meh id rather charge slash , no reward for a perfect parry( aka if you are gonna make charge slash my main dps gain give me an insta charge of it instead of à spinning reaper). The main good thing tho is blocking is now viable. I dont HATE it but its really underwhelming , imho.

Picture this: they take all your feedback about the sharpness drain, that rough range, and the whole 'death by thousand cuts' situation... and actually fix it for launch! Because honestly - you're not wrong about any of it. And that suggestion about getting an instant charged slash after a perfect parry instead of spinning reaper? Now THAT would be spicy! 🔥 The blocking buff is definitely a W. Maybe give it another shot at launch? Betas usually get those juicy balance patches, and who knows? They might make that perfect rush reward feel as meaty as a lance counter! 🛡️ Really appreciate you breaking this down, my fellow hunter.
