I'm staying with Bishop s c Johnson and have been for several decades. He had it right all the way 100%. When he was alive, he called all the preachers then false prophets. With great respect to Elder Campbell, it is only reasonable to be exposed to languages in which the Bible was originally written: (eg) Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. There are various translations of the Bible over the years, and the vast majority of translations are not faithful to the original languages of the Bible. The New Testament was originally written in Greek, and take for example the word 'Perfection:' Several Greek words are used to convey the idea of perfection: artios - completely equipped, (2 Tim.3:17), teleios - mature (Matt.5:48), epiteleo - to terminate (2 Cor. 7:1), pleroo - to meet the requirement of (Rev. 3:2), etc. Here a knowledge of the language can assist one in finding out whether the translation was compromised or not. Elder Campbell's remark concerning revelation is in order. Without God revealing, illuminating, and providing intuitition; one will still be blinded, and unable to rightly divide the Word of Truth.
