During my 10 years here this sugar coated glorification is NOT at all what Kelowna is like. No mention of BCs major hiway running right through the town hosting regular fatalities, year round homelessness and crime, suffering agriculture, lots of jobs? that's because lower income (including the trades) can't afford to rent, and over densification destroying the open space Kelowna's heritage is/was famous for. I would suggest you come for more than one visit before thinking about making a move. Lake is nice. Boat? Good luck launching at one of the very few launches...

News flash, the real estate industry in B.C. is just as corrupt as the banking system. When your own government is corrupt to the core, where does this leave the average Canadian? Could this be why a good percentage of Canadians are leaving Canada?

I made the move from Van to Pen. I considered Kelowna. The big difference for me was sexist oddly frequent frat boy dudes on party boats yelling nonsense or just me walking down the street casually... and being heckled as an LGBT person with my girlfriend. Kelowna traffic is absolutely horrific as well as they only have one central connector road across the bridge. City needs to invest in new interior highway infrastructure 😅😢. Tons of young people moving to the Pen and the people are so lovely. Just better vibes ❤
