Battlezone 2 did it more than a decade ago and it was awesome

I love the game and with all the f2p DLCs and the different difficulties it doesnt get boring for me

Gun attachements for the primaries, attachments that male you pick a path, magazines for more ammo, or barrel length for more damage and accuracy. This would have helped a little

honestly once quality of life features and AI get the needed upgraded i think it could be such a solid game! i love it so much

I have to agree, funny how this review mentioned nothing about this.

Failed to mention the considerable bad optimization and sometimes with only 7 players in the game, the game can stutter and even servers completely crash. The game does have potential and quite ambitious, but still needs work. The first 30mins of a match can be slow just to get things going and if your commander sucks its not good. And if you die, its weird, its like a huge delay, or get killed but still running, its not right. The non-vehicle combat is clunk city. People keep defending this game saying its in early access, but its been Early access for more than a year, and barley any optimization. But the dev keeps add things slowly. Just thought this should be mentioned, its not all sunshine and rainbows, but its not all bad either.

And the aliens make my teeth hurt.

I didn't realise that I still had a lot of reservations about my grandma dying until I played this game. I really saw her in one of the spirits, specifically Alice, her dementia inspired story really broke my heart. It's a game that brought me to tears on multiple occasions, but the gameplay is so fun and addictive too. I am glad the game approaches several types of loss appropriately, from terminal illness, child death and sudden deaths/disappearance. This game is 10/10, it's breath-taking, and it's the game that has made me feel the most. ever.

I agree with everything you said. Having said that, I think it's important to note that nobody on RUclips seems to be addressing the issue of bugs (glitches) in the game. AH are trying to "balance" a game that is full of said bugs, all the while adding and testing new content. How can you "balance" something which you are constantly changing? Do you have any direct links with the DEVS in order to point out the need to get rid of some of the glitches BEFORE trying to balance anything? In most cases, their "balancing" efforts have negatively affected all the weapons and stratagems that I like using the most! It feels kind of like the devs want me to play using certain loadouts (gamers all call this the "meta"). Many of them are weapons and stratagems that I DON'T like using. I can't imagine I am the only frustrated casual player out here! If you don't have a direct line with the DEVS, do you know any other CCs who may have more insight regarding this issue?

Hello! Sorry to pop in randomly, Martin Melicharek here, developer of Silica. Thank you so much for looking at the game, I am truly ecstatic that you enjoyed it and indeed there is a lot left to do but I have every intention of delivering. Since Dune II, StarCraft I, C&C Tiberian Sun, and later Natural Selection 2, I have wanted to play in the desert scifi action of Dune first hand. Silica represents that desire and is also a concept dating back to before 2008, where I attempted it in the Doom 3 engine as a mod but lacked the experience. Retried in 2018 and went full time in 2020, and I can say I am happy with how far it has come but still has much to go before I consider it complete. Anyway, on a tangent I went. R&S how did you get the cinematic in gamer shots?

I fully agree with your assessment on the AI. I find Phasmophobia's replayability in the ghost AI, whereas Forewarned's repayability is in the map generation and adventurous tomb raiding theme.

I have one slight correction, when talking about engi weapons, you say they don´t shine with their damage capabilities, maybe not for single target, but most of the time you see engis having way more kills then driller or gunner. Engi is like a walking genocide, especially with fatboy overclock.

something (sadly) very important for a game nowadays is thyt this game has NO microtransactions and no fomo with the battle pass since the loot will be in the general loot pools after the season is over the only stuff you can spend money on in the game is cosmetics you get via DLC
