most 34mm vintage or semi vintage rolexes looks bigger because their lug to lug is around 42mm..... hence looks quite big on the wrist.... i think most rolex 36mm case width's lug to lug is 43.5mm.... really not much difference / larger ....

The vintage watch on the left makes the newer watch on the Right look like a Deep Sea diver.

I can’t wear my Rolex without catching guff from my friends. No problem with my Omeeega though. I don’t mind. I like the Omega more anyway. Looks nicer and I can afford to beat the shit out of it.

I own the 14060M as well as the 114060. While the newer version is obviously superior in quality, I still prefer the more elegant lines and wearability of the 14060M. If Rolex also offered the Submariner in the 5 digit case size but with all the modern materials and bracelet of the 6 digit version it would be a massive hit for them. They offer the Yacht Master in various sizes so I don't see why they can't do the same thing with the Submariner.

Trying on a sub and gmt master ii at a local made me love my seamaster more. I like its quirkiness and solid construction.

I love the Omega dial, but the size of the watch and the bracelet are not for me. When Omega updates the watch, then I will consider buying it. That's why the Sub is perfect for me.

I can second what you said about the Omega bracelet. I had mine start failing and nearly dropped my watch because of that. The lack of double locking mechanism is very disappointing

The older I have gotten the more I realize the emotional and aesthetic feeling that one must have to appreciate a watch. If you get that “feeling” when you put the watch on you know it! Forget about the movement and the bracelet etc., it’s the dial and how the watch feels on your wrist that matters. If the sub gives you that feeling it’s the one for you, if it’s the seamaster then that’s the one. Don’t talk yourself out of a watch based on specs or trends or what other people say. Go by how you feel when you look at it on YOUR wrist.

Omega all the way. Rolex is eye-catching, since every celeb has it, but comes nowhere near to the beauty of Omega Seamaster. Specially the iconic 2531.80. Also, Omega is more accurate, as you mentioned -0, but that doesn't matter that much, both are very accurate. To me, bracelet is way better on Omega, fits better on my hand, like silk.

I actually prefer the Omega clasp. I have both and the reason I prefer the Omega is you don’t have to take the watch off. So easy to adjust while driving. Overall comfort they are pretty even. I would give the edge slightly to the Rolex though. Mainly because of the taper. But the Omega is still super comfortable. It’s my do anything watch. Plus I love the white dial black bezel.

Would get the Submariner (as opposed to the Submariner Date) so it did not have the Cyclops.

Just about the best comparison I have seen. The only plus point to the Omega that I can see is that it comes in blue. Oh, and it has a display case back if that's a preference.

Have both but initially purchased the 300m. Rule of thumb, don't settle. You will always be wanting a Sub no matter what.

I love my Tudor Pelagos 39, and I love the entire Pelagos line. My only contentions with this piece: I wish the dial and insert, like the 42 OG, were matte black; and I wish the hands were as bright as the markers and insert. Hopefully, Tudor's fixes the lume issue, because you will be able to get new 'service' hands during service. Nonetheless, the hands are still potent; I am able to read the hands throughout the night.

Love this video. Great camera quality and it does justice to this watch.... I'm really considering this over the new one. Prefer the 20mm lugs, the green lume and more vintage look and bracelet... only down size is the lack of anti reflective crystal, but... no watch is perfect

there is a point I don't understand. The accuracy of Omega is 0-5, which means you can expect just your watch might go faster in a long run. I own a seamaster, and sometimes, it even doesn't have any deviation. on the other hand, the accuracy of Rolex is -2 to+2. it means that your watch is less predictable and might go slow or fast!!!!! so, from this aspect, it is clear that Omega is more reliable and accurate. I wonder why no one pays attention to this important fact and just says Rolex is more accurate!!!!!!
